says their goal is to have a good selection of oldies and new releases so the game library might pick up once it's released. You can buy their blue coins to unlock extra slots or speed up when the game is unlocked so you can choose a new one but meh I would rather just buy the game(assuming you can)

You should be able to buy the game fine. I see this mostly as a way to check out games before you buy them. Instead of a demo you get the full game with ads. If you like the game you can buy it and no longer see ads. It's better than a demo and unlike piracy is legal, so it looks to me like a good thing.

I think they may if they make enough ad revenue, they may have only added that small selection as a test to see how it will perform.

It didn't say that when I originally posted this thread =/

Wonder how many new(er) releases they'll be adding. I'm curious to see its game list; that's what'll determine my excitement about this thingy.

As long as it doesn't resemble a virus. Otherwise they'll shut down everything.

Hate to burst your bubble, but it probably won't be "Triple A games for free". I was in the beta, and the majority of the games were older, lesser known games (a lot of Paradox and 1c also) but not many brand new blockbuster games. While that may change in the full release, I wouldn't think it will replace ever paying for games again.

With some of the games they have (like Red Faction) were looked at as Triple A when they were released so I still look at them as Triple A. Also like I said above I feel like they will add more newer titles if it's a success, I doubt they want to get a lot of newer games into their platform (which I'm sure are harder to obtain that older games) then have Void not succeed.

Pacman, Dig Dug, Missile Command and Pong were "Triple A" titles when they were released. It would be a hard sell to convince anyone that these were "Triple A" titles in 2012.

Signed up for the beta. I would say "triple A" is pushing the truth somewhat. Most of the games currently on offer are "double D" at best...

Don't get me wrong: The games aren't utter horse cakes, and the range may be a lot better by the time the service launches officially. It's just difficult to argue that many (if any) of the games shown are legitimate "Triple A" titles...

Interesting idea, although id rather just buy the game. Who knows how often/long the adds are.

Pretty sure it's been said somewhere on first page.

Its really not a bad concept ive been using the beta for a bit now, Ive enjoyed it. I only see the ads in the beginning when I launch the game, nothing in between game play and its only 2-3 ads that are fairly quick. Currently the the games available is small category, but risen is one of the available games(more games from old to new are to be added). When i fist started the beta it was buggy, it crash or wouldn't launch. But it has become fairly stable since then.
One thing to know is that you get on free slot. Slots are used as game holders for the games you wish to play. You can pick a different game until a cool down period has pass. You can upgrade you slot by paying with GG blue coins. You can also buy an extra slot with GG blue coins.
My rating for the service 7/10

So Gamersgate is launching a platform named Void where you can play games for free but the catch is you have to watch ads in between gameplay
Article here
Countdown until Void launch here
It's also only going to be released in Sweden, USA and Canada, doesn't that just piss you off?
Edit: A few more countries have been added since I originally made the post: Denmark, Norway and Finland
