Hello guys and girls. Starting today, my website Goty.ro together with Paradox Interactive, decided to make a series of nice giveaways. Even if the giveaways are made public, this topic was made so that you can easly access and follow the games giveaway evolution:

I will keep this topic up to date until all of the giveaways will end. So don't be a stranger ... come and take a look from time to time :)

Good luck !

So you're going to do those giveaways from your personal SG account, great for you. Did you explain to paradox the personal advantage you expect to win from their donation?

I kind of have to agree. He should have made an alternate account for these promo giveaways.

To make another Steam account for Steamgifts would mean another 100$ invested . But for some of you maybe this would be some easy money. It's really easy to state your mind just for the fun of it and be blind regarding the process behind of this action. Everyone has their own meaning and tools of helping out the gamers community...and there is a win-win situation for all of us (game producers, users, buyers, Steamgifts and Steam). But If you want to further discuss the meanings, sacrifices and time/money invested into this project, feel free to add me on Steam and I will gladly open your eyes :)

Good point, forgot about the $100. But this seems like an easy obstacle to overcome, just contact support and ask them to manually approve the alternate account. I doubt they'd refuse you the opportunity to give away 30 good games. Or alternatively, give the games to cg or someone else who doesn't enter giveaways and tell them what to post in the giveaway descriptions.

I highly doubt there's anyone here for whom $100 is "easy money".

I have no idea what the rest of your post is about, please clarify.

And in any case, this is a minor issue. If you do choose to use publisher-provided games to boost your contributor value and enter giveaways, the most you'd suffer is getting called out for it and maybe added to someone's blacklist.

If only you could know a little bit of my language ... but even so ... you can check out the other contests i've done on the website (it's on the "CONCURSURI" section). Sadly, there were a lot of ragers when it came to the winner picking system we used from random.org website. When it comes to physical prizes we usually use random.org website, but with the digital prizes we decided to use Steamgifts. By this, there would be none to complain about the winner.

And i did contact support via ticket, chat, sent them a mail about making these giveaways "featured", but i had no answer from "cg". In the mean time i had other things to attend to and didn't want to delay these giveaway series.

And by the way, if i wanted to avoid discussion like these, and even people possibly blacklisting me, i would have done the giveaways on "private". But this is not the case. These are good intented giveaways, so take it or leave it as it is :) Have a good night and i hope you understood my statement.

I see. That still doesn't clarify the issue of whether you'll be entering contributor giveaways after making these giveaways, and whether the games were obtained for free or paid for.

But like I said, it's a minor issue and you don't have to clarify if you don't want to. As Desidiosus said, it's technically allowed. And as there doesn't seem to be anyone here who particularly cares, we could just drop it.

Someone from support once said that it's allowed. It was in a thread about the matter.

It would probably be a good idea to make the page have an english version, also, what aElder said.
