So, there is a list of games that we cannot create giveaways with.

The site is flooded with giveaways of those games (dirt, portal, red orchestra, eets, puzzle agent, world of goo...).

When i enter on those giveaways and see the comments all of them are "thanks" and none "thats an exploited key game bro".

Am i missing something here? Can i create giveaways with those games after all? (its not like its something new... i have been seeing "forbidden" giveaways constantly every day and nothing seems to happen to them.

Also... why exactly is a game exploited?

oh, so if i have got it from steam and have the email and stuff there is no problem?

Do i have to prove it before i create the giveaway or just have the mail at hand in case someone asks?

Buy it from Steam as a gift to keep it in your Inventory. Make your Inventory fully public so people can check it.

Otherwise people will assume it's exploited and your giveaway can be reported and taken down.

Tl;dr have gifts viewable in your inventory, not cd-keys from box copies written somewhere.

1) Many people don't read the rules/don't care about them

2) The same as 1) + people don't care as long as they get free games and it isn't allowed to call a giveaway fake in the comments

3) No, you can't create giveaways for these games (Edit: only if they are keys, else you can)

4) AFAIK mostly because the games were sometimes on some site for free or illegally acquired (exploited) in large quantities

My take is that if a game was recently on sale or in a bundle then the giveaways are legit. I did enter Puzzle Agent giveaways on this premise.

Can someone explain to me what this "exploited" key thing is?

I don't understand, is it like, a key from a keygen or something?

That, or something that requires a VPN to activate, or keys that were leaked, etc.. If it's considered exploited, there are possible legal ramifications for the site if they allow them to be used in giveaways, basically.

CD key =/= Steam gift. If you have a gift (as in, you bought it from the Steam store), you don't need to prove anything. Just link your inventory and make sure it's publicly viewable.
