Problems with games that I thought my fellow steamgifters could help with

Hey guys, so here is my problemo, I have recently bought Garry's mod and the multiplayer list is just white and blank, so is the legacy browser, I can still download add-ons and such but the connecting to server is broke, has anyone had this happen before? Does anyone know how to fix it? Many thanks to you all!

To play Garry's Mod you need to own at least Counter Strike Source, TF2, I guess

i don't know if this have anything to do with ur problem, probably not.. srry

watt. I own TF2 (because its free) but I didnt know the game relied on others for multiplayer

not the first time i tried to play garrys mod with a friend and could not connect to a few servers using counter-strike source content
if you have counter strike source you should download it because many servers are mostly based on this game but not all
fully depends on the game mode you are trying to play, for example the mode Elevator: Source is mostly based on Half-Life 2: Episode 2

I can see you don't own counter-strike source which is a problem, and which explains why there was a game pack with garry's mod and css
different solutions:

  1. buy css
  2. uninstall gmod
  3. google it
  4. ask a friend which owns many valve games like portal 2, left 4 dead 2 and css and let you install those (not sure if family share works)

For garry you need something extra like tf2,cs source,left 4 dead.There is millions ways to download-dont khow if it is rightful or not- thats why maybe you saw this when you play it.

No the game works fine but when i want to play multi player the server screen is completely white with nothing on it

I open the logo of the windows and i write windows firewall and disable it.or you can check it on control panel.
