Very astute observation, you are extremely keen, aren't you?

Hey, to be fair... Roman numerals aren't taught in any education system I know of(a.k.a. local a.k.a. Canada).
And it's not really used, at all. I only learned Roman numerals at an early age (8-ish) because we had a clock that used them.

When I was in school in the UK we all learned Roman numerals (only 1 lesson, but that's all you need). I also got to study Latin as a GCSE.

Actually, here' a little interesting story... Cursive writing? We only learned it in one grade, and not even for the whole year. I could've been a great cursive writer at this point, but we got near no experience with it. Sure, probably my fault but I was a kid. Why the hell would I go after something as boring as that?!
Well, I'm going to feel the consequences at some point...
It's the education system for you.

I don't think I understand how this post is a response to mine xD
I honestly dont think there will be many severe consequences of you not having pretty joined-up handwriting though.

It was really to let everyone consider how unsurprising this is.

Orly? And how you write names of kings and queens?

Or you don't have history lessons in Canadian schools?

We have history lessons, but I've rarely seen the use of Roman numerals. They're used, I just don't see them a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'm familiar with Roman numerals and I've known about them for a while, but I don't see them everyday.

Yes, I know the II in WWII are Roman numerals. I, honestly, don't see Roman numerals everyday so either I don't look for them or they just aren't there.

Never used it in math, so that's pretty weird for me, actually. What math was it, exactly?

I remembered this (Didn't find an english version)
So, basicly, v + v is X because you rotate the second V on 180º and you put it under the first one (?)
Aaaand, I agree with the people that pointed out that sometimes people forget that this is the SG forums.

Having knowledge, by itself, is insufficient. Many people ask "what" or "how" but never think to ask "why?"

Because "Humble Bundle sdxcfvcdxszasdcf" would look silly.

Please, help me understand this Humble Indie Bundle X thing...
that's probably a stupid question but...why X?
I understand they couldn't call it "Humble indie Bundle 8" again;
probably "Humble Indie Bundle o" would cause confusion;
but why not "Humble Indie Bundle q"?
or "Humble Indie Bundle H";
or even "Humble Indie Bundle j"! what's wrong with it?
