Think I've only ever found good coupons on bots. And I think nowadays people pick clean the coupon bots. Or maybe there are bots to grab all the good coupons from the coupon bots...
Back when the badge nonsense started and I made some badges, it was always crap I already owned, coupons for games that are currently in a bundle, or stuff like a 25% non-stackable discount for a game that's currently got a 50% discount in the sale, etc. Useless... :) Oh well. :)

IIRC best coupons I had were from alienwarearena.com a couple years ago.
A 50% off coupon for The Talos Principle and it was cumulative with Steam sale. The game was 20€ (then it went up to 40€ for some reason, maybe regional pricing) and it was 75% off, so 5€ and then another 50% off, total 2,5€, a great deal I would say!
The other one was 75% off Shadow Warrior and was cumulative as well. Game was 90% off and with the coupon I paid the game less than 1€. Another great deal!

If you don't make badges, or if you only make badges during the big sales, you may never see one... But check bots like http://steamcommunity.com/id/ArchiBoT/inventory/#753_3 - people dump unwanted coupons in there from time to time, you can find a good one if you get lucky. :)

Well, if you make badges during the sales you get a sale card instead of a coupon, which means sale badges, or money from selling them.
But if you're just looking for money sell all the cards, don't make any badges. But I guess you already know that. :)

I've heard people wanting to select which badge to show, instead of automatically showing the highest level. Like that Witcher 2 badge, level 1 is "A guy who knows a guy who knows Geralt" which is the best title if you ask me. :)
