Hello everyone,

I haven't been here in a while, busy putting the last touch to McDROID which is polishing the audio.
For that, we are running a casting call for the voices in McDROID and I thought you folks might find that fun to have your voice in a game.

You can see the casting call here

And if you want to apply and don't have a backstage account, you do it there.

Cheers!

McDROID is coming soon™

Bump!
And wow, your game has come a long way since I last saw it here on SteamGifts!
I love the art style, the animations are great, and the gameplay looks top notch.

How much per character would you recommend I record?

Also can I get any kind of info what direction to take these characters?

@Smash, an entire level gives me enough material to gauge emotional range.

The tone of the game is likable and off beat, not serious, like a happy "city of lost children".

To give you an example, one actress from LA casted the planet as a Mama from Louisiana which sounded similar to the Oracle spoof that you can see in this video "I'm the Oracle Dammit"! Her roomate was tearing up laughing - I love that crazy stuff.

If it makes other people laugh then it's probably good.

For the Brain bug, think of someone very very neurotic, vulnerable after years of getting hazed, and somewhat likable because he is trying so hard to be evil and tough. Definitely not monotone.

In general, the performances I like are contrasted, pauses, hectic delivery of hacked words, heartfelt. Does this help as direction?

So much, you got anything on the shuttle?

I understand now, For the shuttle... something funny. It was a she, now it doesn't really matter. In my mind it's an innocent personality but I heard a version where she was a haughty French person-thing and it was pretty hilarious.

So, really, as my preconceptions about the characters get pulverized by really talented actors, anything goes, as long as it matches the visual and the sweet silliness.
