I was wondering, can't seem to find it anywhere in the FAQ's exactly how the contributor levels work? Is there a monetary limit and once you meet each threshold you go up a level? If so do people know the thresholds? And are the GA's at higher levels of a much better quality?

The giveaways of the higher levels are not better quality but the fact that u reached that high amount of games gifted on this page gives you more chances of winning that actual giveaway.

I'm level 9 which I suppose is quite high. I just checked and can currently see 4 giveaways at 7+, 0 @ 8+ and 0 @ 9+. There might be a few more but I can't see them if I already own the games. The giveaways are for 3 pieces of Thief DLC and a lesser known game.

None of the above seems atypical although I don't exactly keep stats.

No they aren't a better quality. The person donating the game gets to choose what level they are giving the game away to. Basically the higher the level, the less people are at the level, so the amount of people entering the draw should be alot less. It's an incentive to get others to donate some games, and not freeload the system.

Yes, you would think it would be a FAQ, since it's certainly a Frequently Asked Question. It's not even in the Guidelines.
It's been suggested before.

Not exactly better quality, it's just that you have a bigger chance of winning. For example I'm but a lowly level 2 yet level 2 giveaways have a much smaller number of entries than level 0.
