Welcome to the internet and where people can not resist the urge to say something stupid that they think is funny but really in most cases is spam,i suppose we are all guilty of doing it at some point.
Yeah i must agree it is bad here,but maybe i just got use to forums with some sort of law and order going on.While this one has some law and order it still almost the wild west of posting.Either way you just deal with it or avoid the forums if it bothers you that much.
I am not here to tell people what they can or can not post as i am not a mod or have any power or is any rules being broken so if your offended by me calling a lot of post spam then that is on you.That does not change that i still think a lot of it is spam just same as those have the right to post such spam.
i just think too much of it goes on and makes it hard sometimes to find the real post that people may need help on or reply with a real answer.I still think the new forum is better then the old but nothing has changed on the spam issue.Like i said maybe i am just to use to forums having a spam rule where if you can not stay on topic of the OP then it can be considered spam and if you do it enough you get removed from the forum.
Like if your going to reply to a post and the best you can do is just something like Thanks for Skyrim or a Bad Rats remark,or Heresy,and even worse Volvo,that is a damn car not fucking steam but people will continue to do it as they think it is funny.It is even worse with Steam reviews most are garbage reviews that have little to do with the game and how really is.
Anyhow regardless if people agree with me or not or i get some blacklist because i hate spam then i can not do anything about that,but until there are some set of basic rules of forum post get use to this and get use to it getting worse.I still think rules should be in place that if you can not stay on topic do not spam or risk being warned/banned for continued spam it just mucks up everything.

Well i can not deny i have not said stupid stuff and do,but i also do not reply with things like Thanks for Skyrim,or Volvo sucks Half-life 3 confirmed whenever someone post something strange,Bad Rats Jokes and so on,though i do think it is a very good game though some say it is short.,
I tend to say stuff on the internet that i would in person,i would not run around saying stuff like Half-Life 3 is confirmed as an answer to some conspiracy/strange thing going on so why would i do it on the net.What you get on the net is what you get in person for me.
Though i try and be my own person then go along with what everyone else thinks is the thing to do i tend to be a leader not a follower,this is why i when i do make a review of a game i try give my opinion not some funny review that just a couple lines of something funny that happened while you played.At least the simulator reviews have calmed down.
Either way it just how i feel and just my opinion i do not hate or despise those who do that,nor do i blacklist them just so people are clear on that.

Since you've bothered to reply to my troll post, I guess I'll give you a real response now.
I sometimes comment with those mainstream jokes, but I try not to copy them fully, i edit them a little.
I'm totally bored of all those obligatory potato votes being first, actually, i'm totally bored of potato anything, but well.. what can you do, they'll be staying quite some time. xD
What I'm really enjoying on SG are picture comments of some people.
Oh and, when commenting, I'm either showing gratitude, trying to help someone if I can, stating facts or just giving my opinions. I know I've mentioned quite a group of topics with that, but like, I don't usually question why someone does something, neither I judge them. If I don't like someone, I mostly move on, unless i'm having a bad day.
And, neither do I. I don't think I have anyone blacklisted. I don't even giveaway that much, because I'm unable, so it doesn't matter. On the other hand I have some whitelisted people that I've found interesting, entertaining or helpful.

I was unaware that this was some sort of professional site dedicated to serious matters unrelated to the internet and its culture.
A serious answer to a silly question about users being silly can be said as such, the majority of this site's users are very intertwined with the internet and gaming culture, which involves things like memes and cliches as a form of communication. If say, this site was, instead of a game giving charity lottery and internet forum, but instead was something like xda's developer section, or IBM's internet board, you would see a dramatic shift in user seriousness.

Well it does not have to be a serious site,but that also does not mean most post have to be short replies with silly remarks they could do like some forums do and make a different spot for stuff like that and i do not mean off topic more along the lines of..
Anything goes type sub forum,as long as it does not break the general rules.
This could be a place where people can ask silly and stupid question and people could reply within that sub forum and it would not gunk up the rest of the forum with a bunch of one off replies.The way it stands now even if someone is trying to be serious there seems to always be a few that feel the need to reply with banter or jokes and make fun of the person post.
Anyhow i know this is one subject i feel strong about so i am a bit more vocal then usual but i am still open to what other people say or do and they can still choose to reply with a smart ass remark or joke.That does not mean i have to be for it,i would still be against it but i am not going to hate anyone or block anyone because they do.I just think there needs to be a proper section for posting stuff that might be spam/way off topic post.The rest of the forum should be replied that are on topic or related and any way off topic or just one off replies should be removed and not allowed but that is just how i feel.

I want to share this thought and I want to share it here, I think it is within topic somehow. I have noticed that the Trade section is lacking funny comments or plain naive trolling. I don't consider myself a troll but I can enjoy some soft trolling from time to time. Anyway, was thinking about creating a trade like [H] GTA V gift row [W] 1.000 Potatoes. You should consider the amount of kids in here. I'm not aware of any statistics but my guess is there are more teens/kids than adults. It would be sad if I'm wrong though.

You should consider the possibility that most of the unfunny comments are from people who are just in a bad mood or just want to post stupid comments because, well, even THEY don't know why...maybe their gf is off running around town doing stuff she wants to do like having coffee with friends or going shopping or something equally bloody pointless while they're stuck at home with a 3 year old and a 2 year old who spend the bulk of the day trying to kill each other, so they take to spending most of THEIR time (the time that isn't spent trying to keep both kids alive, that is) randomly lurking here on SG, or on Distractify (or any number of similar sites) just to deal with the disappointment of being the sole person responsible for ALL the housework (why do they call it homework when you're at school, but housework when you're a stay-at-home parent?) and ALL the bills aside from rent, and isn't even allowed to have any friends because their missus is totally fucking paranoid but also more than happy for her ex-husband to be around all the time...
