Buying the very last greenlight bundle?
Vomited when I saw the publishers/developers...
On a side note: What happened to those Be Mine bundles promised when Groupees sold people that $20+ year-long 'subscription' almost 3 months ago? Are they staggered during the last 9 months? And hopefully not tossed together haphazardly and full of trash?

I'm not familiar with them though and Steam search, crap as it is, can't search publishers. Googling them gives nothing concrete either.
EDIT: Second google search got some results, and I can see why no-one is having them in high regards (me included).

You used to be able to but last time I looked I didn't see a user-friendly way :(
Anyway, I found links for the two if people want to get an idea of the kind of stuff they put out:

If it's a Back To Basics bundle you can pick up most of thier titles for pennies on the dollar at steamground.com
Since it mentions greenlight these are most likely 11 new titles they just picked up for publishing..
Here's 7 that haven't been greenlit yet.

Actually, half of them were greenlit, but some of them are not yet released.
EDIT: Oh I didn't saw "here's some that are lit" but Eaten Alive is released, just fyi.

Yeah, I shouldn't have preordered before they mentioned the publishers.

Save my money...
I really want to buy the last bundle if not this developer.
Comment has been collapsed.
Are these old games from these publishers? Or a typical GL bundle where the idea is to vote for new stuff to get through? Either way can't say I'm interested with these publishers. Awful.

not really, by making people pay a set price to put their game on steam, people who paid the fee then pushed through garbage game after garbage game by promising low prices and trading cards..
now you'll have actually have to make certain amounts of money to get on the platform which you may or may not actually get back..
Comment has been collapsed.
before you paid the 100 dollar price to submit any amount of greenlight games.. the new system will be you pay X amount per game.. So in order to actually want the game on steam you're going to have to factor in risk vs reward.. IE, will you make back your money on that particular game or not..
Valve never released the actual price, but said anywhere from 100 - 1000 dollars per game.. Although it could still prove to flood the market with .99 cent games with cards which I would suspect sell pretty well, but do they sell well enough to offset a thousand dollar initial buy in..
That will ultimately be the question,

Honestly, i'm glad that Greenlight is getting replaced due to all the scams and asset flips that have been going around on that system. Just check out what happened to Jim Sterling and Digital Homicide, that was absurd as hell.
Comment has been collapsed.
I just hope that they fix that part and CHECK what they're publishing before guarantee.
Comment has been collapsed.
They have a very basic check in place. But that's only there to make sure that the game don't have any viruses or any obvious illegal material, and that there's an exe (the reports of games missing exes comes from developers messing up when they upload the games. But when valve checks the games there is an exe there)

Note that I dont want to be rude Hassat, but following your logic it means
lets keep with greenlight bois, its amazing we dont have to do anything is alot better
than trying anything else.
But coming from a person that is against steam mobile authenticator ... it doesnt surprises me.
Comment has been collapsed.
No, what I truly want is Valve to put in some manual effort. Instead of automatising every little thing (like wiping all non-Steam purchase reviews of the chart instead of just punishing the devs that abused the system... WHILE THEY KNEW ALL OF THEM).
Greenlight is bad, but replacing it with no and I repeat NO actual supervision what-so-ever, just pay and get on Steam... it's definitely another step backwards.
EDIT: And yes, I do hate the SGMA. Security it ain't, but my inventory has turned into a giant pool of shit against my wishes. Security against burglary by torching my house. Wow, THANKS SO MUCH.

well dont get me wrong but there was alot of people being scammed and going after valve support asking for their items back.
Wanna bet, wanna sell it for a guy you dont know and you dont trust? You can do it but now at your own risk, you dont have to blame valve for being retarded.
Heres other few changes that I found necessary.
there was alot of people "abusing" the non region games ...
there was alot of people buying and re-selling any sorta of cards, backgrounds, emoctions or any item on steam market
now we have 7d hold.
Freedom is good, but steam was like literally being a market to everyone find a way to make a easy and big profit.
(just try to get a copy of blur on steam, people are asking for 300$ a copy...)
I kinda saw few changes coming this is why none of them surprised me.
The only thing I miss on steam is the flash sale but now theres websites that from time to time offers something good.
The system is so complex around world gaming (just like everything else) and I get that everyone loved when steam used to be simple, but seriously that it was only me that was expecting things like that?
The only thing I wasnt expecting was the fucking greenlight, but hey, atleast I found some good games there.
And I think that greenlight was some sorta of alpha building, so the only thing im expecting next from the sucessor of greenlight is a beta phase, it wont be the bad as alpha stage but it wont be the final stage we all dream as well.

lazy solution? these days the amount of people that have and uses cellphone 24/7
is so huge. To be fair with you even my parents uses it way more than me lol.
the reviews restriction I agree is radical asf, but atleast I dont see
meme, mlg, 360, no scope, 10/10 reviews...
but its probally something that takes time and might end up trying to improve it on the long run.
The only thing I disagree with valve these days is the solution they found for skins on workshop.
The most up voted item goes into a crate with lot others items, that you have to purchase the key so you can open it.
I hate it but I admit it was a smart move... in the end is just business.
Comment has been collapsed.
No opt out, just copy+paste Steam client to mobile, being total crap. Yeah, lazy.
Uhuh... these are usually from Steam purchasers, NOT key-users so these "useful" reviews are kept being fully counted. Steam reviews are a joke to manipulate now, but I guess Valve is happy since Fraud is now giving them a 30% share, rather than none. Doesn't bother Valve as long as they profit.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well if you're complaining about copy'n'paste youre not familiar with valve games.
They do that alot.
I know that steam is far from perfect, the mobile app should be improved for cellphone,
for now its alot better using it on tablet.
The greenlight polemic still up and running, same for reviews.
Time will tell us how valve is going to handle it. (and ofc thanks for being civilized)

Np.
Also interested on your opinion on their latest "improvement"; https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/J7RLb/steam-removes-inventory-gifting
Steam's going fairly downhill for our (cough) improvement.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I saw it and again im not surprised.
This will be hard to explain asf because I dont speak english that good.
But heres my point of view,
Steam, valve created a market (lets put it that way), that they got all publishers to work with
their company, on the beggining everyone was kinda skeptical with how valve would make
it interesting. I mean on early stage people was like "digital copy, not interested" and to be fair
Valve was the only one betting on it by that time.
So yeah years where coming by, internet improved, people started to using it more and more,
they saw that games arent that what media used to show on television and the prices
were really interesting, there was nothing similar in the market.
And with that steam started to grow up, note that Im talking about global scale.
Try to undestand this logic.
Is it right for Valve giving acess to all users from different parts of the globe,
to buy games on their plataform focusing on re-selling? This is why I dont get people talking bs about G2A.
In my opinion valve is just closing the door to the monopoly they created and opening the doors
for those websites everyone is kinda migrating.
They're basically saying if you wanna do it, you still can do it but not direcly through us.
In the end steam is only adapting to the market, so it can still up & running.
And is not like they're going to die because of it. They probally have a cut on every single sale from those
3rd party websites.
Comment has been collapsed.
Seems about right enough. They gambled at the start, it paid off, they now reap the benefits, getting complacant, and we suffer for it.
Also the low prices they got so much costumers with they just drop now, since the hook was thrown, and the bait is still biting in droves even without even using a worm.
And no, they get zilch for key-sales on 3rd party sites.
Comment has been collapsed.
The only aspect I kinda think it might get worse, is that the steam is in the business for good
they can charge on their digital copys what physic copies used to be.
They reached the point that they dont have to make it attractive, we will still using it anyways.
Even if we buy a game somewhere else...
Same goes to origin, uplay, gog :v

How does wanting Valve to actually do some work translate into not wanting any improvement at all?! Do you have any idea how much money they make? It's only reasonable to expect them to provide some actual services for that 30% cut they take out all of sales, never mind the cut from market transactions. Right now they're trying to automate as much as possible and bring down their staff costs as close to zero as possible. If that's the way they're determined to go, it's only fair for them to cut their share of sales to 5%. If they want a big cut, they have to earn it.
And don't even get me started on the authenticator.
People like you who submissively bend over when companies come to fuck them are a big part of what's wrong with gaming. I bet you don't mind DRM either.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree that the smartphone was a radical move, but I dont understand
why you guys dont see how it was a accurate move even if the app still on alpha or w.e stage you guys wanna call.
Ofcourse theres people that dont have smartphones, believe it or not I am one of those,
and for the mobile app Im currently using my dad's smartphone and you wont see me complaining about it.
I still trying to be on the old school side but even my parents already adapted to the future, but if you guys are blind to see
that theres millions of people around the world that are really into a marriege with their phones, using it whenever they can
close to 24/7. Just because I dont own a smartphone doesnt mean it was a stupid idea, youre basically just watching for yourself
when you guys gotta see is that works for mostly of the steam users.
Even Uplay and Origin is trying to follow this same logic so that kinda show us up that valve did it right? Didnt they?
It probally reduced the amount of bs ticket into steam support, I bet it did.
about your second statement I dont get it, maybe my english is not on point there.
But I highly doubt that the gaming industry is what is now because of me.
The only game I remember buying on pre order, was Test Drive Unlimited 2 on atari dot com and if Im not mistaken it was 40 bucks,
the game and few others dlc included. Im not supporting those 60 bucks prices, and whenever I buy a DLC, I make sure to get the ones I will really use.
The gaming industry is what is now because people saw that games are safe, is not what media, television used to show.
It grew up so much ...

Ugh... those guys aren't exactly known for making quality games :/ Thanks for including the "Not with these publishers" option in the pool! ;)

On the Be Mine Sub - it launched 16th Feb 2017 promising a minimum of 10 Be Mine Bundles over the next 12 Months. Be mine Anniversary 4 was the first so that leaves 9.
If I've got this right, to meet the goal of 10 over 12 months they would have to release a new BM every 1.2 months and it has been 2.5 months since BMA4.
I'm hoping they don't fuck this up. Groupees was a great site in it's heyday.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm in for the end of the Groupees Greenlight era. :-)
Comment has been collapsed.
I stopped buying greenlight bundles from groupees after #44, wish I stopped sooner. They haven't been worth buying for a long time, they're mostly crap with one or two decent games in each bundle if you're lucky.. and most of them end up being rebundled by IG anyway.
Comment has been collapsed.
Same (even stopped at the same time).
Yet I preordered this one (in my defense, before they revealed the publisher), mostly out of some misguided nostalgia because, well, it's the last one, and Groupees used to be good ...
Yeah, I'm regretting it. (Already have the steam games, too, unsurprisingly.)
