Syberia 3 Deluxe gets the deepest discount yet, but raises the base price by $10 at the same time.

Just noticed that Syberia 3 Deluxe is at 85% off, yet more expensive than the last discount of 84% off.
The base price has been 29.99 since september 2017, but yesterday they decided to raise it to 39.99 before applying the 85%.
Pretty scummy. Is that even allowed on steam?

Yes, that is completely allowed!

Pretty scummy, but there is nothing prohibiting this behavior, just consumer backlash, if at all

Just checked, do your research next time, mate!

SteamDB was tracking Standard edition prices as the main game, it is showing Deluxe as the main game now for some reason, maybe Deluxe being at the top of the Steam page is a factor.

No change to package prices or even regional prices.
Current sale for Deluxe matches historical low, but Standard edition has only a 10% discount, they are obviously pushing the Deluxe edition this sale.

Hope this helps, please do your research before getting outraged.
