Because it was given away for free, I think from the "Golden Joystick Awards".

Yup, all free games have been removed from the giveaway list to prevent people from hoarding keys and taking advantage of sites that give free games. They won't be added back to the game list in the foreseeable future.

Golden Joystick Awards might be an exception, at least XCOM:EU got into the bundled list only (given away last year)
EDIT: it might have been a pay-a-dollar-and-get-it-back thing though, I simply do not remember :s
EDIT2: I think it was really free, and playing the game was necessary to get a XCOM:EW voucher code only

It was removed from Steam by licensing issues I think.

I won it once, never recieved it (-sadface)
But no you cant get contributor points for giving away a game that once was free.
And yes you can still give away games that have been removed from steam.

But when was it free? I usually hear about every game that goes free, never heard of Mafia 2 being free... And I really want it.

BongoGT:"Because it was given away for free, I think from the "Golden Joystick Awards"."

This guy is right. And unlike this year Bioshock, it was truly free.

I got the bioshock infinite for $1 and for some reason playfire gave me back $1.50 GMG store credit?
Better than free :D

If you have to invest its not free imo.

If you didn't have dollar you wouldn't have game and 1,5$ credit.

You can see my dilemma a bit above, in short: right now I think XCOM:EU was completely free last year, and it is in the bundled list only, not revoked.

That is odd, maybe support could clear things up for us.

btw, yet again one simple feature would save us trouble: having all games on list, but have explanation why some games cant be given away (or even why they are bundled)

this is sort of step back from sgv1 since we had * next to bundle games but now we have to search separate list to see if game was bundled...
