So I requested an additional giveaway after putting my last giveaway up for this community train, and now I won't be able to do a giveaway for another week until this one finishes because the mods won't allow me any additional slots despite seeing multiple comments saying that they would. I probably won't be participating in one of these again unless I have an abundance of giveaway slots. Good luck to everyone on the train, and I appreciate all the great chances at games from my wishlist. I would love to give back more at some point hopefully.

I got what I would call a scripted response a week ago, and then responded twice with my reasoning and why I need the 1 additional giveaway (the only giveaway I have running is in the train). Request was left opened, and unattended for a week. So I am just a little upset by it. I get why the rule is in place, but they can look and see my giveaways aren't nefarious. If I intend a giveaway I do give it away. A lot of mine were due to region restrictions, delayed start time, or me deleting them after awhile because they got no entries (don't see the difference in deleting it or letting the giveaway run if no one is entered into it), I usually let most of my giveaways run for 1 hour, but group ones I do for 2 days.

Okay I think the fact that you have deleted a lot of giveaways is probably the reason. There is no functional difference between letting a giveaway run with no entries or deleting it early... but there is a big difference in the effect that has on your giveaway slots!
I hope it works out and support can grant you one more slot at least.

Weird. I've never known them to not add additional slots when asked, and i see you've already made over a dozen fiveaways, and all have received their keys.
Maybe there is some SG policy for the mods where they can only give you more slots if you achieve X?
The mods should at least tell you what that requirement is... more giveaways completed... or maybe age of account has to be at least 3 months or something.
Maybe next time wait until the train is closer to the end, before adding on your giveaway...

They did respond with a requirement, but my last giveaway posted was the one for the train. I assumed I would get a 1:1 slot in place of said slot. Wasn't asking for multiple slots. Just the one. They told me to wait until my last giveaway ends which is whenever the train ends.

What as their requirement for more slots? I dont remember being asked to do anything, but my account was a few years old at the time so maybe that was the requirement?

My requirement is to wait a week till the train ends, and the person marks the key as received. Then and only then will I get another slot or at least free up my current slot. That is all they said.

Ah... yeah, i had an issue last year trying to abide by a Xmas train end date and time being correct, and had to request a mod to help me out after making and deleting a giveaway several times..

How many giveaways did you delete so that you only have a single giveaway slot? IIRC you start with three and you get one for every three giveaways marked as received so you would have nine by now. And you lose one for every giveaway you delete. My guess would be that that is the reason they denied your request.

Yeah well, like I wrote: you lose one slot for every deleted giveaway and you need three successfully received giveaways to gain one slot, so maybe don't do that anymore. ;)

I'm aware of that. The mod said as much. I still requested the one for posting in this train. It is the only giveaway I have going. Most of the ones deleted were from region issues or delays against my groups rules as i'm sure a lot of people encounter. No need for the condescending wink.

The rules are applied specifically for my group. I had them delayed till the next week to get my quota in (because of work). I was told I couldn't do that, so I deleted 3 or 4 of them.

The OG behind this event is Xarlor who came up with the first community train .
it was done again by UserCar007 with some changes that i have decided to keep. which were disallowing DLCs and adding a game value requirement .The Third one was done by me .And I was greatly helped by Canis and icaio.There was a 4th one byDragoZeroNova. 5th was again done by yours truly with the help of Canis and icaio. The 6TH also by me. and the 7TH by yours truly, Arwiee , The 8th also by me.
i know i promised last year that its gonna be the last community train i ever made and i even got mods to perma ban me to make sure of it.
