I tried it out just to see what happen (knowing full well that they would link to that) and then it ended up putting me on that mailing list..

I just filtered it into my spam and forgot about it. I actually browsed through the first email they sent, and it was 99% shovelware.
And yes, I had a sneaking suspicion they might link to Origin, but had to try because that was just a little too shady to be believed without actually trying it ...
