cause this is first time i hear about "Raiblock"
The fact they had to clarify that Railblock was a cryptocurrency in the first place shows that it doesn't have the popularity needed for Valve to go to the effort of implementing it.

Valve won't support it for the same reason they don't support $your_favorite_cryptocurrency
for all other possible values: not enough support from payment agencies. Bitcoin was an aberration, when it seemed like it was going to become the cryptocurrency of choice. Now that it's become impractical (for the moment, at least), Steam won't have support for anything unless it pops up as a "winner" outside of Steam. Valve simply doesn't care enough to be on the forefront of things here.

Whats wrong with the normal steam cash?
It doesn’t control by government
You cannot go to toilett without controlled by the government, so changing the payment method would not change anything.
ps.: WTH is raiblock? Why to add something no one ever hear about it?

This exactly. Why should any merchant have to accept any cryptocurrency ever? If it's so great just convert it into real money before you buy.

Just make them accept all 1300+ ones: https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/

actually this is not true, btc costs alot.. there are other blockchain based coins that did not fuck up on transactions and costs :)

why not enjicoin, gamecredits, gulden(nlg) or one of the other 1300 coin :P
actually i would prefere for isntance NLG way more, less effected by btc surges, more stable, moving away from crypto and already real life uses, also going even more secure and soon 0confirmations.

The link to petition: https://www.change.org/p/steam-raiblocks-integration-to-the-steam-network-as-an-official-payment-method
TL;DR: Raiblock is a cryptocurrency that is fast and feeless. It doesn’t control by government nor required user to type in their personal information to use it. So the f*ck don’t you want to sign the petition?
Raiblock is a crytocurrency that provide feeless, instantaneous transaction. Yes, feeless, and just pure fast transaction. Basically, like credit card or paypal except the need to fill in your personal information or pay any fees for the third party.
Steam used to have bitcoin as a payment option, but due to its high fees and slowass transaction time (cough$10+ fee cough), they decided to remove it during December last year (sad times...). This due to their nature of POW and low blockchain size. BUT NOT FOR RAIBLOCKS! It’s based on POS, which means does not need any miner to power any transaction on the blockchain. Plus, it has high scalability, making the coin transfer from wallet to wallet in just matter of seconds. This would be ideal for your everyday payment, especially when buying games in steam.
If you still sceptical about it, here’s the faq (https://raiblocks.net/page/faq.php) and the whitepaper of it (https://raiblocks.net/media/RaiBlocks_Whitepaper__English.pdf) .
PS: Give Raiblock a shot, even if you think it is not worth being in a popular game platform like steam. You might find more than what you initially think ;)
