to be fair, he is absolutely right. after i met a special character i've muted the audio for all characters
gameplay wise it is the best, it feels great to hush into enemys, shooting feels satisfying and i hate the "battle royale" mode.

In my defense I did play and finish the game and all 4 story DLC from Season Pass 1 in 3 player coop on Playstation, all of the seasonal events and even did some Achievement hunting so I think I have played it more than enough to have an educated opinion.
The story of the DLC is better than the main game (which really isn't that hard) but generally speaking I'd say contrary to BL2 the humor just didn't click for me.
And yeah... the gameplay is quite fun if you're into really old school shooters but then again I couldn't name a single improvement over Borderlands 2.
But that's just me... I didn't particularly enjoy it and only kept playing because my buddies desperately wanted to play it and I won't be buying the next game from Gearbox.
But if other people genuinely enjoyed it that's absolutely fine and I don't mean to shit on anyones parade.

I also payed significantly more for the whole package than 20€ since I played it close to release on PS4 so I suppose 20€ is a fair price for the Complete edition.

Among improvements, the removal of the slag mechanic is a huge one. It was so annoying to be forced to play with it in the 2.
The ability to tp from everywhere to any station or your vehicule is also very cool.
Movements also have been improved (like sliding or climbing).
A lot more customization of your skill, not only you have 3 (4) skills but you can modify them.
Gunfights also feel more impactful
Overall that may be personnal but I have far more fun playing Amara than any character from the 2.
Those are just what coming to my mind, there may be more.
Writing is far below the 2nd game, but the gameplay is far above.

The antagonist were not as good as Handsome Jack but I don't think they are as bad as the general consensus make them out to be as far as I'm concerned. They're okay IMHO but not memorable.

Oh, I see they made it into a bundle now, but it's much more expensive than the (now retired) package. The package was $100 or something like that, so -90% would be $10. The bundle is theoretically -92% but it amounts to $20 because many of the components are not discounted.
[ok I was mistaken, the previous Ultimate Edition was also a bundle: https://steamdb.info/bundle/16675/ but it only consisted of three packages and its historical low at -86% was $15.80 (from the base price of $115). -90% would have been $11.5 so still much cheaper than the current "-92%"]

I've been holding out for a good price on the Ultimate Edition, so probably going to bite (though feel slightly annoyed the base price has risen). Got BL3 from HB and bought seaosn 1 and 2 but deluxe ale gold dlcs was missing for me. Bought from ULTIMADE EDITION for 2.50euros. Now the only one thing is missing for me is BL3 booster pack which is incluxed in ULT. ediiton and I did not get that for some reason. Even now its showing for me its FREE but when i tried to add or bought it shows me error. Still worthy bought for me for that price!

I wouldn't even pay that for it, tbh... I loved Borderlands 1 and 2, but the writing in Borderlands 3 was just so cringe it wasn't even enjoyable. I know some people are saying to just mute the character audio but what's the point of playing at that point? The quirky humor was a key part of the Borderlands series, and it just completely fell flat in 3.
