Torchlight 2 Mods

Now that the workshop opened, I decided to use it and install a few mods, but my previous mods that I had without workshop are now gone and the saves I had for my characters are gone. Help?

Use a recovery tool to recover the files? Does TL2 have steam cloud integration? Uhh... redownload if there's steam cloud integration?

I have them backed up on an external hard drive and I tried transferring files to the save, but no use.

Oh well, I guess it's back to square one for me.
