I actually have a couple, won't use all of them, just two that i have fired up recently and still love.

First one is "Stubbs the Zombie" absolutely loved the humor in this game, plus eating brains was super fun, as the people turned into zombies in front of you, needs a sequel... with a hell of a lot more zombies, i think max on screen was about 15 or so, plus best ending in a zombie love story ever.

And second is of course, the best Star wars game 'yet' (Kotor is a close second best, but this un' steals it for me) Star wars Battlefront 2.

i'll let you guys reminisce about that one for a bit...

done remembering those amazing battles? re-living the movie? playing as Vader and cutting down rebel scum? amazing game when your mates came round and you all had a laugh!

So guys, what two games still stand the test of time for you?

Super Metroid, can play it now and enjoy it the same as when it was released. Best Metroidvania ever for me.

Heimdall 2 - perfect story, great pixel art that still amazes me and ideal balance between puzzles and smashing things.

Most, if not all Zelda games. But Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past to name one.
Rise of Nations
Max Payne 1, 2
Dungeon Siege 1, 2
SimCity (the original)
Half Life 1, 2

Ugh, I'm stopping this list, almost every time a game got a third part it was worse.

The old Tanks (not sure if this is the name) and Contra series on NES. I still play them from time to time.
On PC I guess Unreal Tournament '99, Heroes Of Might & Magic III, Halo Combat Evolved, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Max Payne 1/2.
It's a long list actually but the first 2 I still play. UT & HoMM are the first 2 games I install every time I reinstall Windows. And VirtualES for Tanks.

two older games i often go back to?
i guess CoD2 is one even though it's not that old.. well actually i often find myself going back to CoD4 more than CoD2.. but the CoD genre in general is one that's stood the test of time for me

another is probably CS 1.6 or Day of Defeat if i have to keep it PC oriented

but i have to admit if my PS1 had still be functioning, i would probably still be playing stuff like Tekken2 from time to time

if i would have just mentioned retro games i liked :P i would have come up with something like Summer Games for the commodore 64 - i played that for countless amounts of time with my brother (and other C64 games) but again if i had my old PS1 i would still be playing a lot of the games ;)
