If I had a gift link address, would it be possible to get the transaction back?

No, you can't turn it into a gift link again.
Once a gift link has been generated it turns into a webpage on the internet that anyone can access. You can trade that link. But keeping games as claimed/used links is dangerous because they often get stolen by bots.
When the other party you are trading with does not want to activate the game but is afraid that you will use it, the best choice is to generate the code and delete the order (https://imgur.com/NW8OfnY). That way the gift becomes inaccessible.

Thank you for your answer. I am not good at English. To explain briefly, it is right?

A -> B (Linked to B)
B -> C
No....?

A gives gift link to B.
B receives a link to his email. B CAN trade that link to C.
but...
it's no longer a gift link, it's a claimed link
gift link (A>B) https://www.humblebundle.com/gift?key=XXXXXXXXX
download link/claimed link (B>C) https://www.humblebundle.com/downloads?key=XXXXXXXXXX

as an aside, thanks for that bit of info about the bots. i've always turned games that i don't plan on keeping into gift links right away and bookmarked them. i've held onto some for years (until i found this website). it didn't even occur to me that the urls could be found through a bot, but that totally makes sense. i'll be more careful from now on.

protip: always, always, reveal humble keys. humble does not assign key until you reveal key. humble does not guarantee key availability. humble will oversell and you won't might not be able to ever get key. humble will refuse you support as they treat you as key reseller.

That's not a protip. I've literally never had a problem.

Happens when you keep removed games for years without generating them.
If the studio suddenly closes and are no longer able to generate codes, Humble won't be able to fulfill their orders.
Not experiencing an issue first hand, doesn't make it less real.

That sounds like an incredibly rare circumstance.

Rare, but it probably hurts when your high value removed game is no longer accessible. Other stores do not have this issue, only Humble Bundle.

I think this only applies to removed games

any game keys don't get restocked, another case might be where publisher stops selling at humble.

My understanding is that HB also sees gift links being given to too many different people as a red flag. They basically leave it alone unless you ever need support for something, at which point they check your gifting history and decide whether to help you or blacklist you. so PROTIP: Never ask for support from Humble if you use SG, unless you want to risk going on their naughty list.
