Stop doing Evolve Alpha Key giveaways!

So, a lot of people are giving out the alpha key for the giveaway. Some people didn't state it was the alpha key, either! There are multiple reasons you shouldn't post giveaways for alpha keys like Evolve:

  1. For the most part, a lot of alpha keys are given out to most people who sign up for alpha. Heck, I got 4 alpha codes (check the bottom; and so did everyone else, to be fair). So it shouldn't be difficult to get an alpha key. Especially when Evolve gave away A LOT of alpha keys. Everyone I know who signed up for the alpha keys got one.
  2. It is against the rules to post a giveaway for an alpha. Especially an Alpha that lasts a day or two. The worst part about this is, most people probably thought it wasn't the alpha key! And how could they, seeing as how most people doing a giveaway for Evolve are only doing the alpha key, and not saying it. So people are basically paying 60 points for AN ALPHA KEY that will last only a day, maybe two.

If you really feel the need to post an alpha key giveaway for any game, then do it here on the forums, and NOT in the actual giveaway sections. It is extra work, I know. But, if you truly want to give someone something that you think they will like, the extra work is worth it.

And, for all of you special people who read this... three people will be selected (who comment) for an alpha key!

It's really frustrating to see members' CV going from 0 to +100$ for giving away keys they got for free. (Evolve, Nosferatu, Weird Worlds)

Well, Nosferatu and Weird Worlds they could have gotten from a sale on Steam, I personally got them free, but it would only increase their CV from 0 to about 20ish overall. Maybe 40. But, Evolve is an alpha key that you can get from ANYWHERE for free. And since Evolve's alpha installs the full game, it is counted as such.

About Nosferatu and Weird Worlds: as soon as words got out that we could get keys for free, loads of giveaways for these games started appearing here, so it's only fair to assume that those GA's creators were giving out games they had not spent a cent/penny on. (and this is something that I'll never understand. I mean, the thought of creating GA's for games I got free would not even cross my mind. It would feel like cheating. But then again, this is the Internet. Different people, different minds. I guess I'm just too honest)

I actually had someone in mind when I posted my previous comment. 6 Weird Worlds (ended) + 6 Evolve (still open) giveaways, profile created only 3 days ago. >.< Such generosity.

That said, I just saw that he's been suspended and CV shrunk to $30. Good.

You do know the Alpha key gives you the full game right? Like when the game comes out, you will have the full game.

The only reason it is just an Alpha right now is because the game is unreleased (hence ALPHA) - The steam store confirms it is like the prepurchase

I am tempted to make a giveaway for Evolve and delay purchasing the pre-order just to see how many dumb people I can get to yell "FAKE!" However, setting someone up to make a mistake is a bad thing, so I'm not going to do that.
