As title implies, I've made several Nuclear Dawn game giveaways in the past. Now that the game lowered it's price, it seems like my account "value" also decreased, by $5 per game, on a total of about five... is that correct? I mean, is it intended to work that way? Retroactively?

That's how it's intended to work.

Now, I know the intent of the community is not to up your contributor numbers (although a few have tried to take advantage of the system lately), but doesn't that kind of discourage larger giveaways? Games do not stay $50 or $60 forever.

Good post, Miguel.

people who contribute $60 games aren't looking to boost their contributor score :-P
I don't really think it's a problem.

Contributor values go by the rolling year, so in a way it encourages expensive game giveaways more than cheap game giveaways; most new games stay at $50-$60 for at least their first year. You're more likely to get caught out by donating many cheaper games than a few expensive ones.

Well, yeah... but I think it's the spirit of the moment what makes your contribution good, and so it should be respected, right? Think of games like TF2, CS:GO, and such... maybe at a moment they were worth 50, 20 pts... and someday BAM! they go free. But at the moment someone posted a giveaway including those games, they had a certain value that everyone took for granted. Just thinking if you can get a Daily Deal game and retain it's original value score-wise, it would be cool to preserve the price games were offered at a certain moment of a giveaway.
P.S. This is NOT whine at all, I'm just curious about it and expressing my POV.

It's a pretty good point, really. The current price of the game as of some later point doesn't really reflect your contribution.
