As everyone knows, those support asks to write an email or steam profile before choosing a new winner. I wrote in the comments that the person won the game and after 3 days I got a Red plate. At first I did not understand why, I restored access. Exactly one month later, I again write to the person who does not pick up the game in the Steam profile with a comment of the following content: Hello. You have won the game over six days ago on steamgifts. Activate it and mark it as received.
After 3 minutes, I have a Red plate again.

Maybe steamgifts admins will revise the rules and there is no need to write profile and email, but they will simply choose a new person if he does not take the game for a week ???

You have won the game over six days ago on steamgifts. Activate it and mark it as received."
Через 3 минуты мне опять прилетает КТ.

Может быть админы steamgifts пересмотрят правила и не нужно не куда отписывать а просто будут выбирать нового человека если он неделю не забирает игру?

Er, why is this filed under 'Whitelist Recruitment'? Pretty sure it should just be General.

There's been a few reports of people getting flagged on Steam. The contact them on Steam was always a last resort, but I agree it should not be up to the giver to hound the winner if they are not interested.

Edit: Here for example.

As everyone knows support asks to write an email or steam profile before choosing a new winner.

You don't have to contact the winner through e-mail nor post on their Steam profile. They just ask that you "attempt to contact" the winner.

If the giveaway is delivered as a SteamGift sending a friend request suffices. No need to comment on their profile. If some people like to ignore friend requests out of paranoia that's their concern, not the creators.

If the price comes as a Steam key sending them via the key delivery system here on SG also counts as an attempt to contact. But if you want to be nice about it you can also comment in an old giveaways of theirs, just NEVER on their Steam profile.

You can try to add the person screenshot it and write on the giveaway or Email from the person .
i think mentioning Giveaway or steamgifts is the problem .
i always choose the wooridng GA ,but i remember the last time i wrote "Giveaway" i got a similiar red text but i could just close it and nothing happened .

Don't mention Steam Gifts on user profile comments section, Valves system flags them automatically.

if you want to make sure to have lowest problems, don't add key on SG, instead add the person on steam, screen shot you have added person. when the person accepts add, chat them, ask if they are ready to activate, if yes, then give key in chat. if they don't accept add after 7 days, contact support to request new winner and include screen shot.

well you didn't mention delivering 2000 keys. that would certainly be a pain.
this site does not have very good options for dealing with non-redeemed gifts.

i have to agree with the sentiment.

What should I do if the winner of my giveaway has not redeemed their gift, and I'm unable to get into contact with them?
-
If you contacted the winner of your giveaway on email and Steam over one week ago and they have not yet responded or redeemed any keys or gifts you attempted to send, please contact support to request a new winner. When creating a ticket, we ask you to include data that suggests you made an adequate attempt to contact the winner, such as screenshots of emails, friend requests, or gifts pending on Steam. If the request is approved, a new winner will be generated by the site.

this rule should be changed to

What should I do if the winner of my giveaway has not redeemed their gift?
-
Please contact support to request a new winner.
If the request is approved, a new winner will be generated by the site.

to support,
stop making giveaway creators responsible for everything when giving away games. if a winner is so lazy and stupid to not check both steamgifts and their email account at least once per week, then they aren't truly interested in their wins and those games should be rerolled.

you don't need extra confirmation and screenshots from giveaway creators, a winner that hasn't redeemed a win for over a week is more than enough proof for a reroll.
you guys have no way to prove when a key was made visible/sent on steamgifts to the winner?
well, take that request to cg, not the giveaway creator. make him work on a system that logs when a key is sent/revealed/edited/etc. on a giveaway.
giving us the burden of proof all the time is tiring.

In any case.
You need to hide your Steam account name in the image.
It causes bad guys to constantly knock on the front door.

Так или иначе.
Вы должны скрыть имя учетной записи Steam на изображении.
Это заставляет плохих парней постоянно стучать в дверь.

"This account may have been accessed by someone else" 🙄🙄
It's crazy how incompetent websites will use this excuse any time something their bot is unhappy with happens. I get this kind of shit with Paypal regularly when I connect from an unusual proxy. Which would be logical I guess, but the best part is: they let me do any payment I want and never contact me about the "incident". I only find out about this the next time I connect (which can be weeks later), when they force me to reset my password "because the old one is obviously compromised and not unique to my PP account" (not their exact wording, but that's pretty much the meaning of it)...

This just happened to me also. I had a DLC key to give to the winner of one of my giveaways, so I sent him a friend request on Steam, along with this message:

Hey, you won my Cities: Skylines giveaway, adding you as a friend to give you the DLC key

No mention of Steamgifts... and pretty much the same message that I've sent 40-50 times previously, with no problem.

This time... within a few minutes, my account was locked. Obviously "giveaway" seems to be a flagged word.

I guess it's good that Valve is implementing some anti-spam measures! But it will take some getting used to.
