greenman gaming is good, but it requires credit card for purchased, g2a is pretty shitty so dont use it, humble bundle is good if u giveaway tier 1 bundles, bundlestars is also good but the bundles are overpriced, thou the store has many good sales

how is g2a shitty care to elaborate as i was thinking to try it
Comment has been collapsed.
Most of the codes are bought using stolen credit cards or bank accounts, so if the owner of the credit cards revoke the purchases then everything steam releated bought with it is also revoked, even if it was activated. doesnt matter how high the seller rep is is he might have already stolen few cards and sold crapton of cheap games. same thing with kinguin and other shitty sites

I prefer G2A and cdkeys for a non-bundled title.
Note: For some games, Green Man Gaming will only give you region locked keys. Avoid.
More info: http://pastebin.com/ppNkuiNJ Gmg supports do not take any responsibility for that (They'll just delete your ticket and ignore your request (for a refund, etc.)).

GMG is legendary for their shitty support and refusal to help.
Note also, the following from GMG:
1: They refuse to refund games, even if they listed the platform [GOG, Steam, etc] wrong or confusingly.
2: They refuse to provide support whatsoever for any keys after 7 days from purchase.
3: If you indicate, or they suspect a steam key was used on an account other than your personal account, they will invalidate your entire order from support, regardless of if the other games were used personally.
GMG, G2A, and IndieGala are all famous for screwing over customers and providing terrible support.
Humble, on the other hand, as famously good support, even if they've been lousy at handling region-locking lately, and slow on support due to layoffs :(
You never really hear about any problems from Bundlestars.
I can't speak for G2A, but IndieGala and GMG have very nasty support- though, if that pastebin, which seemed reasonably civil, if unhelpful, annoyed you, you'd better hope you never encounter Karl from GMG. Naaaaaasty personality, basically just outright insults you, dismisses you, and ignores you the entire 'conversation'. I asked politely to speak to [any other] representative, and he all but told me to screw off, before telling me the matter was 'resolved'. :X

Err, I'd beg to differ about IndieGala. My experience with them has actually been better than most other sites.
I've received an invalid key from them, emailed them about it, they replaced the key within 12 hours.
On another occasion, during Happy Hour, I forgot to check the "gift" option, and ended up getting nothing for my order (since I already had the bundle registered to my account.) Again, I emailed them, and not only did they give me the bundle (as a gift link), but also gave me the four gift links for it. It was resolved in under 24 hours. I was actually surprised at this one, because it was my fault for not ticking the gift option, but they were really helpful in getting it sorted.
EDIT: I read your comment below and now remember the issue you had with them. Just speaking from my personal experience, I've had nothing but good results, though.

I should rephrase, anyway. The majority of complaints are just dead keys and slow or missing support response. Thankfully, encounters like mine seem to be a small minority. :/
I'd still be very careful about making sure to store IG keys off-site- never hurts to be safe.
..definitely does hurt not to be :'X

well i actually got wrong key once from GMG but they replaced it like 30 mins after i sent a ticket, no questions asked whatsoever :o
and ive been buying from those guys for like ... ever since i switched from consoles and started to build my steam library actually :P

I can't attest personally to the 'incorrect labeling->no refund' bit: That's just what I hear all the time about them, directly from others and on these forums.
However, as far as the no refunds/replacements, and the rest of what I mentioned, that's all directly from GMG staff member Karl.
And sorry, my phrasing was bad. I shouldn't have said 'shitty service'- I should have said 'limited service and shitty attitudes'.
If you've had a positive experience, we can be glad it's not entirely consistent.. all I can say is, my own encounters were quite negative :X
The real concern isn't the poor attitudes, however, but that they seem to have a pattern of limited support, which makes it a bit challenging to trust them with your money.

yeah i never said their cs is top notch actually :P i just had to deal with it once and i got it resolved very quickly so my personal experiences with them are, well, kind of awesome :)
i know about their keys problems though, its been all over reddit in the past and ive also heard some horror stories about people getting region locked keys unable to refund them, without actually knowing it was region locked at the first place, which is pretty $hit thing to do from gmg side. so its obvious there are some skeletons in their closet but as i said, my own experiences were just ok so maybe i was just lucky one :P
i also bought quite a few non steam games from them, like Fifa 16, TESO, etc and never had any problems with those keys either. Its pretty much my 1st choice for newish games atm, thanks to their vouchers and early discounts, no other site comes even close to their prices on new games really.

you know i cant believe you about karl (or anyone's support) without a log of how you escalated your own replies, or simply the issue at hand
back when i had missing playfire rewards, i've had karl reply several times, in fact at one point i got banned from playfire with my $100+ missing, eventually karl reinstated it
on a related note, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX9qloxLKpk this guy ended up in a messy situation trying to buy from a key site.. except he dug into the problems with his own mistakes (sure a normal store would probably deal with the issue, but a key shop isnt normal), my reply from that video:
"the thing is... all key sites are infested with customers trying to scam them, they CANNOT trust your word without any proof... i'm surprised you went ahead & bought on steam while there was a pending key issue, shouldnt you just make a simple video of the steam purchase (& of the key failing activation)? since they are buying from distributors or sourcing from sales on other sites like gmg, they have no way to disable a bad/stolen key the way a publisher can, so they need to prove that a key wasnt used... i wish steam let you view your activated keys, it would solve all of this (as a bundle buyer, i'm not sure which keys i activated since some games have been in multiple bundles)"
my point is people seem to lack empathy for support or how a store works, then there's the whole issue of more regions & remembering which publishers are doing it, you might as well have steamdb open every time you're about to buy, especially if you're not in north america (even that isnt a guarantee anymore, killer is dead has a version that activates everywhere in the world EXCEPT europe)

was ranking/boosting in fallout new vegas in the vanilla game (no mods or hacks or steam achievement tools), ended up ranking past level10 without triggering the achievement for it
PF was fun, got to try a lot from backlog, no room for procrastination since the rewards had a deadline

Since a bit over a year ago, according to some people I've discussed it with.
Non-replies, glacially slow replies, and casual dismissal of some site bugs and dead keys are what most users mention, though some small number have gotten suspended as well.
I've yet to encounter another instance as unfortunate as my own, but given the complete lack of basis for it, the severity and illegality of loss, and the half-year of deliberate non-reponse through all mediums, it's certain concerning enough in its own right.

They do seem very polite but I think you should have quoted a bit more law at them.
As a resident of Europe you have a right to refund any digital product within a certain time period (can't really remember if it's 15 days or a month) without even saying why. They can quote their TOS at you as much as they want but law, naturally, superceedes any TOS. Anyone selling anything to an European customer inherently agrees to obey European Consumer protection law.
For Example Sqenix holiday surprise box- bought it, got upset about the pay 2 play game, asked for a refund according to both Croatian and European law. Even though the risk in buying the surprise box is inherent, the law just sees it as a digital product and it is refundable.
Yup, I saw the keys, so what? Doesn't matter one bit. Even if I downloaded and played it it wouldn't matter. Don't like it (or any other reason) within a legal period-> refund.
Steam is the best example, they had to change their policy to avoid being sued for refusing to refund to European customers.
Comment has been collapsed.
Many, many sites gamble upon that you are satisfyingly misinformed about your consumer protection. And of course there are a few that register themselves outside the EU to avoid that, or more precisely to make suing them way too costy for any customer.
Comment has been collapsed.
In the US, you can't sue an online company unless they have core offices within your own state, or you're filing specific kinds of lawsuits [certainly not small claims lawsuits, which most gaming purchases would be].
Generally, you've very little protection in the US against many online retailers- including basically all bundle sites. Given that certain bundle sites [like IndieGala] are located out of the US entirely, there's even less you're able to do.
So the counter to 'you have far more rights than you expect' is 'but you can't do anything if those rights are infringed' :/
Well, that's how it is in the U.S., anyway :X
Comment has been collapsed.
Just keep in mind that for all the freedoms and rights we have in the U.S. [though we're actually considered to be behind the EU in nearly all things other than free speech], the U.S. primarily supports corporate freedoms/rights, and that's hardly ever beneficial to the population on the whole :X
It's also one of the many significant factors that support the pervasive corruption within the country.

Greenman have sold region locked games to people, with no warning that the game will be locked. Really quite awful as the game can be more expensive purchased through their store yet still with the region lock.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, sorry . I was just listing off a few authorized re-sellers I've used in the past. (I tend to avoid grey-market sites like G2A, CDKeys, etc).
Given your situation, I'd take Mullins' suggestion and just make region-locked GAs or perhaps look for SG groups for your region.
Comment has been collapsed.
GMG is very risky, yes. I've stopped using them :X
Likewise, if you buy from IndieGala, expect the occasional non-working key that they won't replace, no support response, and worse- in my case, after overcharging my account, and me bringing it to their attention, they suspended my account and banned my IP, locking me out of $35 of game keys. After half a year of e-mails, facebook messages, and twitter messages- all with no reply- they just straight up deleted my account, rather than even just give me access to my purchases temporarily.
G2A is its own form of risk, and puts the expense of that risk on its customers. Everyone associated with the site I've encountered has been extremely nasty and suspicious in behavior, as well, which prevents any clear perception of if the site does have redeeming qualities. Either way, a lot of their behavior is highly suspect, and they're known for farming free game keys and reselling them.
So yeah, stay away from those 3 (or be careful how you approach them- for example, always backup your IndieGala keys off-site), at the very least :X
Comment has been collapsed.
dam that Indie gala thing makes g2a look like a saint really, lol
thankfully (?) their bundle quality has declined so i rarely shop there anymore, and i mostly use groupbuys too so yeah, i maybe buy like one out of 30 of their new bundles :P

bundlestars do the odds massive bundle which i buy but not their day to day ones. gmg is the main site i buy games from (probably more so than the steam store) as they keep sending me 20-22% off codes and I get all excited and buy stuff I don;t get around to playing for 6 months
Comment has been collapsed.
keep doing GAs for region locked games, it's annoying that we can't give away to 100% of the users but it's not your fault...
you can also buy tf2 and csgo keys from the market or resellers, and trade them for games in places like tf2outpost.com
Comment has been collapsed.
It's annoying that I can't suggest that you try getting into trading. With all the new changes to trading, it's actually funny how it's supposed to protect people in trades, but yet has actually made it more dangerous for people. So I can't even suggest you try trading right now, cause it's just fucking awful.

I strongly recommend you not to buy in steam store from different regions and/or with VPN. Valve doesnt want that at all. There can be stores (even official ones) who doesn't care but Valve cares a lot. If you don't want your account banned from buying and activating games, stay away.

Gamersgate, Direct2Drive, GamesRepublic, Gamesplanet, Win/MacGameStore, & Bundle Stars are a few that I can name from the top of my head. There is probably more, but those are the best bets for Row copies outside of traders/grey market.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmm, didn't know that Gamersgate did region locking though I'm from Canada so I wouldn't have noticed.

There is a useful site - https://isthereanydeal.com/
Most of the stores there are region-safe, except GreenMan (some of the games are locked) and GamersGate (same as GMG). But, you need to check the descriptions/settings - some of the games are not activated on steam (many games on WinGameStore, for example).
I wouldn't buy from G2A - it's too risky.

apparently, not many people know of Gamesplanet, but they have some truly amazing deals from time to time and their support is top notch! plus they will usually leave a reddit post if their game has region lock of any kind.
really amazing store rep too, so for some games its by far my fav shop atm, especially thanks to some of very ridiculous base prices they have on a few decent games :P
Comment has been collapsed.
ridiculously good :P i got oblivion, morrowind and fallout new vegas ulitimate for like 11 euros total from them :P
right now they have mgs ground zeroes and Revengeance for 3,99 each which is pretty much historical low for both games :o
only reason im not buying it atm is because i figured i should probably start playing games too, instead of just buying them (i played like 10 games in my library, as in played and not just idled for cards :x) so i dont actually buy that many games anymore, unless its for a giveaway :P

GOG? Studio that makes Witcher series own the site.

You can buy retail games on special. I bought some stuff at BT Games and CNA that was fairly cheap and give a decent amount of CV.
Comment has been collapsed.
I just keep them. Another couple of games don't make a difference to me. Most of the games I have bought have been ROW keys so there shouldn't be a problem with region locking for any games released up to this point.

IsThereAnyDeal was already linked: I suggest using that to see the available stores. Practically everything already mentioned here, including GMG can be used. But GMG is a site you need to be mildly careful around. Other sites like this are GamesRocket, FunStock Digital, and GamersGate. Not because they are shady, but because they either sell keys outside Steam or are known for their bad customer support. (For example, GamesRocket really wants you to send them your ID… but if you show them a few laws that tells them it is illegal, they just cave in and let you use the store without hassles.)
Still, since they usually deal in US prices, none of these stores will be able to match your local Steam prices, even with Steam's lacklusting sales. So your best bet is probably relying on bundles. Still, be warned that Humbe bundle, Bundle Stars, and IndieGala let publishers use region-locked keys on their bundles too, so if a game has a version that is specific to your region (not heard of South African games yet, but who knows?), the bundle keys will be locked too.

i prefer kinguin since i life in a high value region i give a shit on dev who think they can count me +159.59% more then the cheapest region for the same game from the same server with the same workers
