tl;dr below

Sometimes I heard something like:
"Oh noes! He won my GA and don't even play it! Oh noes! What a bad guy!"

And I'm kinda irritated about it.
Why?
Because many of us - including me - have over 100 games in their library and don't have so much time to play with.
So don't be angry :(

I play something around 5 hours / week and have something around 180 games to play with.
Some games would be played by me in next week maybe.
Some of them would be played in next few months... So..
Why do I participate here?

Because I like to have CHOICE :)

Love <3 :3

Do you get angry when you see someone doesn't play your GA game?

Yes... omg they're so bad.. so bad...
No. Why?
I never check it. I'd rather potato :3

There is a difference between people not playing the games, and people not activating the game.

I personally don't give a crap if my winner doesn't play every one of their won game.
Personally, I can't play every games due to one, having a slow-ass internet, so it's hard downloading games. And two, some games simply won't run on my computer for now.

What kinda irritates me is when someone won ~10 giveaways, and didn't play any of them, but they have 500+ gameplay hours on CS:GO or something. Why enter for giveaways of games you don't even play? Just stick with CS:GO if that's all you want...

I agree with mostly all that you've said, especially about slow internet and I have a cap on the bandwidth I can use a month.

However, CS:GO I wouldn't say is a great example because people AFK in that all the time (I sometimes do but not so much anymore). So it can see like they are on it but don't play anything else when they're actually just afking.

I'm guilty of not playing all games I won right away. There are several reasons for that and one of them I find is my single player games get set further on my backlog since I usually join games with friends when asked.

But does EVERY one of your won games have 0 gameplay time recorded? Out of 10 wins, I'd expect most people to play at least a couple of them.

I see your point, yeah, I would imagine they could find the time to play at least one for a bit or something.

There are some games I started but lost my save file on an old computer and never bothered to restart :/
I should probably do that at some point, but I don't feel like restarting some.

You shouldn't feel forced to play some games. Don't worry about it, I'm sure the majority don't really care if you play your wins at all. :P

I totaly understand you and you are 100% right.

I wrote it somewhere, but I have won some giveaways here and even 4 during a month...

I won't play Torchlight II, because I have won GTA V and it has priority, but I heard so many good things about this title so for sure I will try it when I have a chance.

I will play castle crashers when I buy a pad, it sux to play with keyboard.

I promissed to guy who send me Natural Selection II that I will play his game soon, but every time I tried to run it I got black screen and crashes :s (tried to solve it in really many ways)

Additionally I have university/job/friends, there are weeks when I play 5 hours during 7 days or 30 hours/ a week, many things affects it.

Yeah if someone thinks they are qualified to tell me at what pace I should play through my backlog, well good luck to them. They are going to need it.

Personally, I am in similar situation. I study so I am able to play only on weekends. But I have tablet... so I'm entering giveaways. Something wrong in this?

I once asked to play it and it was a brand new game, and he didn't even try it.

I don't check, I'm too lazy for that :P
And when it comes to me... well, I already got over the 1k mark and have at least 100 more in other services so beating all my games at my current speed will probably take me s few years.

Well there's this guy who won a game from me who has 300+ games and over 100 of them won here on steamgifts. The last time he has ever played a game is back in December of 2014 but what Can I do about it? Nothing

I have a wife, a full time job, a 14 month old child, and 3 cats. I'm lucky if I can game at all in a given week. I've also picked up loads of games on sale, so I have about 260+ games in my library. I've won 12 games here so far and I've managed to play about 10 of them. I only enter for games that I want to play anyway, I don't see the point of collecting stuff I'll never touch.

It would be nice to see the people who have won my GA's spend at least a few minutes playing the game, but I wouldn't hold it against them if they didn't. I'm sure they'll get round to it.

I am just happy for the winner to activate the game. Playing it is up to them and is their choice.

As long as the winner activates my gift, I'm happy. It's just a game. I'm sure they'll play it eventually ^.^

I can't even remember the days when I only had 100 games to worry about. My android backlog alone is nearly 500 titles.

my stance on this goes something like this:

It personally doesn't offend me if someone doesn't play the game I buy for a giveaway, if it's a nicer game that cost me quite a bit then that may not be the case always. that being said, if you intentionally enter with the INTENT of never playing then that's much different, especially if someone is just entering it so they can idle it for cards...i'm not here to hand out charity

and although it doesn't personally offend me, I just prefer that people with little to no interest of playing respect other entrants who do want to play the game, if I know people are entering one of my giveaways that I know will play the game, I'd rather not see someone who doesn't want to play enter and win, it's not fair for the entrants who do want to play it. imo if you are a collector then you should spend your own money buffing your collection, don't waste the potential for someone to actually win it and enjoy playing it.

that's why I like giving away in groups/invite only, in the first, I know it's a smaller community and I feel a higher percentage of users are considerate of this despite the better odds of winning, and in the second case I can control who enters (i've done plenty of giveaways where I invite only those who have it wishlisted or are fans of the genre, etc.)

all of that being said, I won't judge a past winner if he/she hasn't played it yet, unless they made it obvious they don't intend to play it :p

You're right and I respect your opinion. :)

But you missunderstand one thing about me.
I'll play all of my games. ;)
But I'd rather to play them in some mysterious order :)

Now I'm playing Thief (really nice game!)
Next? I don't know, we will see :)

I should stop entering my "wishlist filtered giveaways"?
Nope. I really want those games.

I spent many $$$ on bundles and won some past bundled games / 5000 copy GAs~

Over 100? Try over 2400 :D But yeah, true. Sometimes I even feel guilty for not playing some of the games I won but there's only so much time in the world and world doesn't revolve around playing video games.
