Hi everyone!
Let's start saying this: I have tons of games and like a women with her wardrobe full of dresses that have nothing to wear...I have nothing to play XD Seriously, I really want to play a great ( good is enough too) RPG. Not an action RPG or an h&s and so on. Something like old school RPGs. If it's also playable with an isometric view I could die for happiness XD To summarize, have you some advice? :D I don't know well all my game, so you could see if there is something that I've missed :/
Thanks! :D

Edit:
Sorry, let me list some game I've alredy played and loved:

Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2
Baldur's Gate 2
Icewind Dale 2
Temple of Elemental Evil
Gothic 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 (4 is horrible!!!!!!)
Risen 1 & 2
Two Worlds 1 & 2
Torchlight 1 & 2
Dragon Age 1
Witcher 1

And maybe something else ^^'

Avencast?

Avernum?

Baldur's Gate?

Gorky 17(Haven't gotten it to work yet)?

System Shock 2(It's pretty RPG-like)?

And that's all of the 'old-school rpgs' in my rpg category.

Isn't system shock something like an fps?
About avencast, avernum and gorky I should see. Are they old game or new game? Only to know if I could have problem with my pc ^^'

System Shock is a 'first person shooter', sure, because it's first person and you can get guns. That you can shoot. Its mechanics are pure RPG-like.

As for Avencast, Avernum, and Gorky... Avencast is more real-time hack n' slash-ish. I guess it doesn't fit that well. Avernum is a modern-attempt on old classic games. They have the charming graphics and stuff as well. Gorky, I haven't got it to work yet so I can't say much, but it's classic turn-based, so eh.

Heck, you could go and get Fallout 1 & 2. Perfect examples of classic, old rpgs.

Yes, I've played both of them and I like those games. I think that torchlight is the most similar game to Diablo 2 (and I love Diablo 2! :D). But I'm searching something less hack and slash, if you know what I mean :)

Gothic 1 & 2
Two Worlds
Risen
Dragon Age: Origins
Witcher 1

Those are pretty good old-school-ish and really fun games. Gothic especially belongs among my all time favorites.

Edit: I don't play isometric RPGs, so I can't help you on that.

You've listed some of the games that I loved most, but unfortunately I've already played all of them! :/ Anyway, remaining to my precise idea of game to play now, I'm searching something more similar to dragon age :)

Hm, how is that that I don't see neither Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obscura
nor Fallout 1-2 ?
Eschalon 1-2-3 also
maybe Inquisitor too
Divine Divinity 1 too.

Anything by Spiderweb Software (Avernum, Avadon, Geneforge) has a ton of content, isometric view, and is a grid style turn based strategy rpg.

Pfft; it's a /rule/ that we get the reference! ;)

I've sunk well over 500 hours into Planescape: Torment; arguably the best single-player RPG of all time.

+1, +1 and +1 again, repeatedly, about three thousand six hundred and sixty four times!

(If I could only find a concise way of saying that!)

Dragon Age is a good choice although not isometric, FallOut1+2 are iso, and VERY good games though the mechanics of FO1 are not as good as. ALso try Arcanum and Planescape Torment, though I did not like the latter

Since your list includes the second chapters, why not trying Baldur's Gate+Tales of the Sword Coast and Icewind Dale+Heart of Winter?
Planescape: Torment is said to have one of the best plots in RPGs.

Did you played the expansion for BG2, NWN1 and NWN2?

At well over 500 hours, I highly recommend Planscape: Torment if a richly-detailed single-player experience is what you're after...

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the best SW game, and also one of the best RPGs.

Alright let me suggest some games I haven't seen on this topic yet

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

Septerra Core (might need some patches)

Now for the non Steam games

Venetica (is greenlit on steam but for some reason not published there)

Monster Girl Quest (if you don't mind "a little bit" sexual content)

And if you download an emulator like ZSNES you could play some classic RPGs like

Lufia

Final Fantasy

Bahamut Lagoon

Chrono Trigger

Super Mario RPG

Golden Sun

Terranigma

Breath of Fire

Fire Emblem

I hope I was able to help you.
