Steam Overlay

My Steam Overlay has been acting strangely for a couple of weeks. When I press shift-tab with the browser open, it will start flickering between the game screen and the Steam Overlay screen quickly a couple times and ends on the game screen. Sometimes I'll be able to actually see the browser window fine but as soon as I try to type something or scroll it starts with the flickering again.

I tried to record it with FRAPS, but funnily enough, the Steam Overlay started working again when I was recording (it stopped working as soon as I stopped recording).

Anyone had a similar experience or have any suggestions? I updated my drivers after it started happening, so I don't think it's that. I've also tried opting in and out of the Steam beta.

Yep, same here. Has been happening for years. I never found a solution and just accepted it as part of Steam's buggy interface.
