Sucks to hear about that. I have no need to claim it myself, I own the complete pack as well as the base game already.

The graphics are nice if you have a sytem that can handle the game.
Long load times on a spinner Hard disk, 40-60 seconds.
Its true enemy AI is limited to 5-6 types for commons, and bosses are a little more varried.
Game eats up lots of ram and pagefile, I had mine at 6gig RAM and 4gig page file and had to increase to 10gigs and thats just on high setting, so ultra or whatever would require more.
Game mechanics are sound, skill tree is varied, weapons are somewhat plentiful and have 2-5 weapon slot upgrades, and all wearable gear is upgradable as well.
I'd give it a 7.5 to 8 out of 10

A lot of uplay games still aren't playable (I am still upset over HoMM6 :P), and uplay support manages to be worse than steam's.
Note that the issues vary game to game, person to person, so even if you've had good experiences so far, that doesn't mean Uplay isn't a bit of a mess, run by a company that gives even less a shit about quality and their customers than Valve. :X
Origin actually has great support and solid quality, it's their marketing and breadth of service that need work (EA has never really been the most creative or adaptive company, but they do tend to offer reliable service. I hear rumors that they've started reorganizing in that regard, so perhaps we'll see more of note from them in the future.)
Most people hating on origin for anything other than their limited selection and higher prices (the same issues GOG has, though GOG offers higher quality products in general to make up for it), tend to just be Steam fanboys/girls. :/
(Or people upset over the one password leak origin had, that, as far as I've heard, EA dealt with quite well. You don't hear people complaining near as much over Valve's recent leak, by comparison, despite their terrible handling of it. :P)

Sorry to hear that, m8.
DA:O is one of my favorite games of all time, have it on Origin, and would absolutely love to play the expansion. Fingers crossed! :)

I'd love it, but I'm concerned that it will be region locked (I'm in Italy).
Sometimes Origin does stuff like that...
Anyway... my most enjoyable playthrough was as a female mage.
I romanced Leliana and then sacrificed myself for the greater good after saying goodbye.
The feels were real.
