CD key question (Cities in Motion Collection)

I picked up Cities in Motion Collection from Game today for 99p
I checked Steam's list of redeemable keys and it said "Cities in Motion CD Keys in this format: 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7-JK8LM-NOP9Q"

However, the key in the case is in this format: A1BC2-DEFGH-IJ3KL
The case has the Steam logo on the back so I'm wondering if it should still work, I have not decided if I want to keep it myself or give it away, but don't want to give it away and it not activate for the winner...

So I guess my question is, has anyone bought a retail copy of Cities in Motion Collection and activated it on Steam?

15 or 25 digits is ok if it is steam code
