I can't speak from experience here, but I feel like a gift might be more appreciated and enjoyed if it's given while it isn't on sale. For example, let's say the sale ends, and somebody is angry at themselves for missing it, but then they see that somebody put up a copy here and they won it. I know that'd make me pretty happy.

Yeah, I just feel weird about trying to plan my giveaways in advance... I want to get some unique stuff to give out, and still maintain my budget.

When I joined SG (like last week ), I had a backlog of extra keys and games I knew I was never going to play. Now my well is drying up a bit, but I intend to keep gifting, because I like it. I just wanted to ask some of you longtime members if you tend to stock up on your gifts during sales, then slowly release them over the coming weeks or months, or if you just keep it a spur of the moment thing.
Hell, any advice regarding gifting over time would be great.
