Even with all the pets and mounts and other stuff I just couldn't spend much time fishing. It became a bit more interesting with the Dragon Isles fishing up raid bosses but even then ignorant people who didn't understand game mechanics would get mad if you tagged fish with spells. I do miss the game, not so much the community. I just wish they would wise up and make a new single player campaign.

Any game where you can fish should be considered as fishing game. And games these don't have fishing should be updated with it! Concord wouldn't be canceled if it had fishing :P

Legend of the River King on Gameboy. Sega bass fishing. Final Fantasy 14's fishing which gets super involved (enough for someone to write a 300 page guide on it). Honorable mention to Stardew Valley.

I think Spiritfarer felt the most dramatic. The most bizarre setup for fishing I've played was I think Serin Fate, which has currents and such.

Ooh, the worst fishing is in Hades. I never see the fishing cues at the edges of the water, and I'm positively awful at the timing for it.
My son liked fishing in Kirby Forgotten Lands. There's a mini game, and it shows the enormous fish next to you once caught.

I did not like the fishing mechanics in ESO but addons were helpful , but overall ESO and new world was fun only because I was chilling with friends
I do like infinite farming like terraria, torchlight - fate, core keeper, stardew valley
I never tried skyrim but I am looking for it
