Mhm but if you remove all entries at once, you may pass the 300 points limit and therefore lose points.

Yes, of course :) I always resync and remove entries after a win.
In my opinion, automatic resync should be done daily and not weekly.

So just inform user "You have entries in GAs of games you already own, you can't win then".

The only time I ever had to ask for a reroll with this reason was when I posted the same giveaway multiple times. If you want to reduce rerolls, implement a system where anyone is automatically getting rerolled by the system in the background for 30 days after their latest suspension ended.

Let me show you example.
I entered in two GAs with same game, then won first of them https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/RCygM/artificial-defense
I activated key and synced data. Some time later i won second of them https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/dPwXS/artificial-defense

I understand, but actually getting a winner like that is ridiculously rare. I mean, I can safely say that I have a pretty damn large pool of them to base a statistical statement on.
Also, your idea has been discussed several times, even this week, if my memory serves correctly. It carries the risks of too much server load again, since there are hundreds thousands of giveaways made and ending each day. Also, what if the winner gets a fake or wrong key?
(Not to mention that in your case it could have been avoided by simply removing the entry. :))

almost every single one of my re-rolls were requested by the winner from a prior win, i don't check for cheaters to re-roll those, and ive got ~18tickets for re-rolls ;)
fake or wrong key cannot tell sg you activated it to kick you out of you entries. free weekend is the only point i see, which imo needs a resolution of its own, and i got it.. disable sync entirely thru those times, i mean all weekend times whether a game is free or not.

been suggested multiple times - use search function of the forums!
It will not work. Why? Steam API is bugged. Steam API cannot be repaired by SG staff only by Valve. Valve doesn't give a shit about their API being bugged. API will often report games you don't own as owned. This way you'll be rmoved from legit GAs. This way legit GAs during free weekend for example may lose almost all entrants and end up with less than 5 Entries giving 0 CV. Steam API will falsely report any game as owned if: Game is at free weekend, you have API reportable beta, you have guest pass access and so on and on. Also some game Steam API will not report even if you own. And almost all DLCs.

Yeah, my bed, sorry. Will use.
What about "marked as recieved"?
Comment has been collapsed.
You say will use yet you don't, it was discussed as well, mobile client often marking as received by mistake leading to fake GAs causing you to leave legit GAs. And some of these GAs cannot be regained - if it was public/group it's fine, but if it was some obscure puzzle or chat linkdrop you will not be able to reenter. Just use tools that are available on SG. After you receive a workign game or if you won a GA from someone you trust and believe it not to be fake GA go to https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/entered, use search and remove entries. It takes less than a minute and is much better than any automated solution that will unintentionally screw over some userts, no matter how few of them.
Also support mentioned multiple times that rerolls are not a problem and we don't need system to lower their numbers. Reroll tickets are easiest to deal with and take very little to no time to investigate. So we don't need to introduce new systems to lower reroll numbers to lift work from support, as these are not things that causes support overload.

I am tried, but couldn't find by title, so decide to ask.
Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for answers.

heard this suggestion all before. there are several issues with an automatic removal of entries, one of them as mentioned before is wasted points. Best way to not win the same game twice is after the sync when u activated the game to check in the entries with the search box for the game u won and just manually remove them, your hand won't fall off for 5-10 clicks.

the points excuse is just dumb imo
the free weekend is a problem no matter how you slice it so i see no reason to not implement this due to a free weekend issue when you can just turn off syncing capabilities between the weekend times to resolve that and people have to manually remove games during those times.
i'm all for it while fixing the free weekend issue at the same time. cuts down on the re-roll request with only the few api issues we already have to put up with.

No
Been discussed multiple times already and the reasons why it wouldn't work. Just close it.

Problem: chance to win same game.
Way to reduce problem: after synchronization site automatically removes my entries from all GAs of game that I already have. Or (more simple, may be) I can't win those GAs!
What it does: the winner can not break the rules, winning twice the same game; giveaway's creator not create support tickets. a support should not handle a lot of requests.
Yes, it depends on sync, but suggestion about reducing, not about solving problem.
P.S. I suggested this way to support 9 month ago, and how can I see, it did not implemented. So, now is time to start discussion, i think:)
