Im pretty bored of those "Yay, you saved the day! ^-^" type of movies.

Do you know any good movies with a somewhat sad ending or one where the villian wins? :)

I didn't expect this amount of suggestions.. thanks! <3

Arlington Road is one of my favorite movies. Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins are gold.

Fantastic movie but I will never ever watch it again. Left me feeling depressed and creepy-crawly for days.

We had to watch The Elephant Man in school when we were 10 (along with Lord of the Flies). Much sadness ensued.

I find Bridge to Terabethia kind of sad. Like, it's not like I imagined it to end. I guess this is not what you're looking for, though.

Aren't they all automatically spoiled to you, when other people tell you how they end? What's the point?

And if there's one thing Alien 3 has going in it's favor, it's that the good guys lose bigtime. The bad guys - well they lose too, but for them it's filed under "acceptable losses".
