Just so you know, at least the 2014 has region restriction in China (can't be redeemed there), and I think the 2012 too. And it is better if you change it before it ends (I am still waiting for the approval of my ticket :c)

Hi there. Not asking for a chance to enter, as I don't fit the ratio criteria. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the Fallout franchise as a whole (including the original 2 games, Tactics, and the games from Bethesda).

For me, I enjoyed playing Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics when they first came out. The first time I played the first Fallout, I spent a lot of time just exploring and checking out every nook and cranny. Of course, this caused me to run out of time, and since the Vault didn't get the Water Chip they perished, which meant I got a game over!!!. I went to an earlier save, and made sure I completed that quest in time. ;)

Fallout 2 was a very enjoyable game, and you could play as either a nice person or a thoroughly vile person. The game did have a few too many pop culture references in it, but it was still a lot of fun. But the bugs...oh, the bugs! It was released WAY too early. Heck, they didn't even implement the quest to find Sulik's sister!! Thank goodness for the fan patch. It removed a LOT of the bugs, and even restored lost parts of the game (now you can rescue Sulik's sister!

I really enjoy TBS games, and Fallout Tactics did not fail to deliver. Well, in my eyes anyhow. It wasn't looked upon favourably when it was first released. It too had a fair share of bugs (for example, if you found all of the special encounters, and entered a space where a special encounter was supposed to be, the game would crash no matter what. So you had to avoid any square that was marked as having a special encounter. This was annoying, but not game-breaking). I think it was made canon by Bethesda.

While there are people that decry the Bethesda Fallout games as not being true Fallout games, I am not one of them. I enjoyed the heck out of Fallout 3. I have the GOTY edition on DVD, but not the Steam version. I use FOMM, as it allows me to use mods (there are a LOT of really good ones out there) as well as stabilize the game. There was a bug that would slow the game down (it happened in TES:Oblivion as well) after you had over 200 hours in it. FOMM prevents it from happening (there is a similar program for the Elder Scrolls games). My favourite weapons were the Chinese Assault Rifle (the unique version, of course) and the Gauss Rifle. :) I didn't care for the original ending, so thank goodness for the Broken Steel expansion!).

I haven't played New Vegas, so I don't know if it's any good. ;)

Fallout 4 is a lot of fun, but the only thing I don't like is the Settlement aspect. I find it is distracting, and quite annoying when one comes under attack while I am in the 3rd level of an interior location (since Fast Travel is disabled when you are indoors). I love the water effects, and have taken several screenshots of various locales! I have almost 400 hours in the game, and I've hardly advanced the main quest! I love exploring (as I mentioned above in the Fallout 1 section), so I haven't bothered to advance it yet. That reminds me...I really have to play this one some more!
