Oddly, the feeling I get when giving them away is always a little bit stronger than the one I get by winning them. The feeling of making someone's day a little brighter is just hard to beat, but they're both awesome feelings.

Wtf..you entered 2k+ giveaways, registered for 1year and only gave away 1 game, which was in a bundle. Yea sure, you just LOVE to give.

Well, aren't you quick to judge. I started that giveaway before the bundle came out. And I chose to give it away because I love battle racers and thought someone else might too. It was a steam gift, not a key. Feel free to ask the winner.

Just because I can't really afford giving away stuff, doesn't mean I don't love the feeling of when I do. Not everyone has deep pockets, y'know.

Edit: Also, me not making giveaways on this website doesn't mean I don't give things to people elsewhere. -_-

I do get some excitement out of hearing what people think of games I've sent to them (though this tends to be physical copies I've sent, as I don't do digital purchases on Steam). I hope they enjoy the game more than I did, seeing as most titles I've sent were either hated by me, or just sat in my backlog for 10 years collecting dust.

I do! \o/ I love to think I might've brightened someone's day, even just a little bit. Plus it's a nice way to share games I love with other people.

Well I do.

Things like constantly refreshing the giveaway to see new comments and getting all excited when it ends... though I AM strange by default so maybe is just me?

You're not alone! :~ On my first(and only, so far) giveaway on this site I kept checking the giveaway page all the time. Counting the seconds barely. I felt anxious, I felt excited. When it ended my heart was racing so much! I added the winner and to my luck... he was online and accepted the gift right away >w< He seemed excited too, which made me double happy about it!

My heart always feels fluffy and warm inside after giving a present.

I love the feeling of giving games, but it fades as I see they just activate it and never play it or they regift it

That would be disappointing, especially the later.

I admit I still haven't played the games I've won recently, though that has more to do with my current PC. Hoping to have it replaced within the next couple of months so I can really get started on my Steam library.

I agree, I have been having problems with my computer lately so I haven't been able to play the game I won (which I think I'll love for it has a WWII setting) and also the university has been occupying all of my time so I cannot really play

Better to give, than to get.

My wallet disagrees though.

I do like giving away games, but I feel a lot more excitement over winning. It has more pay off (seen I have low expectations of winning anything, I got deliriously happy when I won a full game which I naturally really wanted, before I hit even 1000 entries), than someone winning who did not even write "ty". I also tend to not check if someone added the game or played it. The two times I did, to my relief they did add it to their library, but had not played it yet.

But once I did get a email thanking me, telling he was adding it to his library and when he would play it. That is rather awesome =D

Well I got the excitement for giving away and I hope that soon I will feel the excitement for winning :P actually I hate the guys who win and dont even send you a mail or add you on steam to say thanks.one of the guys who won one of my giveaways just redeemed the game didn't say thanks and didn't even played the game for a single second...thats called A NICE GUY...

Actually I like giving stuff away. It is a great feeling to be in a position to give people something they want. Too bad I royally f'ed up my back and I am not able to work like I used to.
