Intel graphics chips are integrated to the motherboard. They're not very good, performance-wise.

by what you said " intel graphics card", it means that you don't exactly have a vga card and your gpu is onboard. Onboard gpu's are not powerful at all and you can't really do anything other than buying a graphics card.

You don't have a graphics card. if you want to buy one to be able to play games, you're gonna hve to tell us how much you can spend and what exactly is your cpu, motherboard's brand and model.

Do you still have the boxes when you bought the your pc? you can see the models on the boxes. if not, you can download this software and it'll tell you, your system info: http://download.cnet.com/System-Information-Viewer/3000-2094_4-10345156.html

Wow, a Pentium 4... that computer is practically an antique by American consumer standards. My last 3 PC builds have all been significantly better than what that computer can provide.

I wouldn't bother trying to upgrade that computer, spend $75-$100 on Craigslist and buy a computer that has at least a Core2Duo or Core2Quad CPU, or bonus if you can find a PC with a Core i3, i5 or i7 in it.

Once you have "upgraded" your CPU by purchasing a newer computer you will need to reinstall Windows (if purchased used) or remove crapware (if purchased new.) From there install Steam, see how it runs and report back if unacceptable.

If you don't understand the words written here use Google to learn about the terms and phrases used here rather than being lazy and saying, "I don't understand".

Isn't 3 GB Ram somewhat low for Win7?
I mean, how much of your RAM is actually unused when you're not playing a game?

And as Skylark said, integrated GPUs just don't perform that well with 3D games.

Nope, you can run Win 7 perfectly fine with 1 GB. Though, most games these days requires 2-3...

you need a dedicated GPU. not that is "bundled" with the MoBo. integrated gpu chip wont do you good with games(though it can run some games at low settings).

Try connecting your VGA/DVI/HDMI cable to your graphics card rather than your motherboard.

I would say the fact that you have inbuilt graphics is probably the issue here. I'm guessing this is an old desktop/laptop since you have 3gigs ram only.

Either way, reduce settings, maybe run defrag.
