Anyone watching Euphoria (HBO)?

Ok so I couldn't hold for so long and I am binging what already aired.
Starting the season at that New Year's party was a great idea but finally having Fez beat that dirtbag Nate into the ground was a much better idea. 10/10. Hell 20/10 just for that last scene.

Ain't a CW show, that's for sure lol

As in, made for girls. I expected a show about drugs sex and violence. And sure those things are in it. But the whole story is about relationships and feelings. And that's pretty much the whole plot. Nothing actually happens. Just messed up teens being messed up.
Just not my thing.

If you want to twist my words, sure..I don't think there is a problem. It's a good show but I am just not into romantic coming of age teenage dramas. I didn't like Beverly hills 90210 (from my teen years) either. To me its pretty much the same thing, just wrapped in a "drastic coat".
Ofc I have feelings :-o. They annoy me every time :P But it doesn't mean I want to watch them.

Just my opinion. I don't mean it offensive. I know most people love it, I saw the imdb score.

But hey, in the end it's a good thing that people have a difference of opinion in entertainment right? Otherwise the world would be a boring as f. You should know some of the bad shit I watch haha :P

//edit: What separates humans from the animals is that animals never do harm on purpose, humans do as you can see in the series. This has nothing to do with sexism. Well, maybe a bit. Shows have a target audience. A female is more likely to read a romantic novel and a male is more likely to read a detective.

Btw I don't like the kind of shows you're describing either. That's why I love Euphoria. It's really not that kind of show.

True. Although that's not true of all animals. Dolphins have been observed attacking other member of their species or other species with no survival purpose. They also have been known to rape females and kill cubs from their own group. Maybe that's why they say dolphins are almost human in many ways?
I would argue though that feelings are the reason humans kill and hurt each other on purpose.

A female is more likely to read a romantic novel and a male is more likely to read a detective.

I don't believe that's true but that's one of those ideas that won't go away. Just like "most gamers are men"
Most women I know wouldn't be caught dead with a romance novel in their hand.

Well, sometimes I watch family movies aka kids movies. :P It makes me feel calm while im doing other things, and i dont really need to pay attention (cause there isnt really a complicated story). Everybody their own thing right?

I did not know that about dolphins. Interesting. But that is just instinct right? They didn't actually think it trough like humans do. Or do they..... :P I will have a google about it. :) I do know dolphins get high on pufferfish so they might be as stupid as us human beings:P

I totally disagree with you on this point though, sorry. Yes, there are many cases where people where people harm others because of feelings. But people are able to decide to act on their feelings or not. Something they decide wrong, sometimes they decide right, sometimes they let their feelings decide.
But this wasn't the type of person I meant, certain people who live fpr personal gain or getting money from others no matter how. But I guess "greed" is a feeling too. I doubt dolphins have "greed" but who knows :P

Most gamers are men, however I know a lot of female gamers too. My gf is a bigger game addict than me. :P. But I do believe movies, series and games and such do have a certain target audience, Cartoons for what kids want. Romantic leans more towards females. Action leans more towards males.
But you are right, it is wrong to think so. It's wrong to stereotype, so stick to your believes :)

Sounds real cool actually. My relaxation go-to movies are space station movies. Even the really bad ones. I don't know why they relax me. Even though I am a claustrophobe in real life. Go figure right?

Oh I have no argument against that. And sometimes it's because they can't deal with their repressed feelings (see serial killers, mass shootings etc) but the cause is still feelings. We are not prisoners of our feelings though, otherwise we could just call that programming and be machines. Hormones though... ;)

Greed is very often the end results of feelings of inadequacy. Look at Zuckerberg. Nobody liked him. Now he's a billionaire.

Because they are products so marketing makes the product they think their target want to see. Then they are shocked when shows or movies don't perform. Giving a whole new meaning to marketing tools :D (Same with games obviously. Ask Ubisoft)

About marketing. Haha :D yeh, it doesn't always work out right :P. But you need to try to make the consumer happy to make money.

Heh I'm too high strung sometimes to be thought of as cool but I appreciate and return the blue heart.
Never had a facebook page, which is an oddity in France if I believe the looks I get when I am asked to "friend" someone. I thought FB was pretty much over everywhere but the French seem to hold on for some reason.

Yeh, my friends here in The Netherlands all use facebook too. Then there is a lot of people who use facebook as news and believe it. I can't really take those people seriously :P

I just can't believe Nate still looks the same after the beat down from last week but ok. I guess they thought he wouldn't be as scary if he wasn't a pretty boy or something.
Anyone else thought for sure that his dad was going to get the next beating when he shows up at Fezco's store?
Too much Cassie drama this episode though

Also, not sure whether I should trust that new kid. He seems like an enabler and that's the last thing Rue needed in her life. This is going to end badly.

I just finished the first season yesterday... I expected more, not bad, but there are some holes in the plot that can be solved basically in half a minute instead of drag it and make a ball for 3 episodes.

I just finished season 1, took me a while to decide after watching the first episode. Rue, Nate, Fezco and his little brother are the most interesting characters and the ones that keep the show alive imo. Better than the Book of Boba Fett that's for sure.

Time to be masochistic again with that Obi Wan series and then maybe season 2 of Euphoria.
