Recommend some good, simple games for awful notebook

Faerie Solitaire.

Frozen Synapse.

Avadon: the black fortress, Avernum: Escape From the Pit, and other SpiderWeb games if you're into old school RPGs like Baldur's Gate. Don't be put off by the graphics, these games are a lot better than most recent AAA titles.
