For my part, after some time I took the habit of saying thanks each time I enter a GA, but I do so after reading the giver's intruction : E, pink elephant, 6, heads.

Hi!
And don't get me wrong, but welcome to the internetz. This is a forum, and forums usually (almost all the time) have post counters. This is your answer.
Also, support do a volunteer job, they work their ass off, and they know what they are doing, so don't worry. :)

Ofc, giveaways are a BIG part of this forum, I thought you noticed. :)
And sometimes there are actual conversation about topics in the giveaway page, but whether your comment is this type or just a simple thanks, it deserves the +1 comment on your profile.
And if you wonder about someones comments, whether they are only thanks or not, there is only one way to know it. Come to the forums and see for yourself. :)

Y, sometimes why, 3.15, tails.
i generally do try to comment but I feel bland 'thank you's kinda pointless, not that I'm not thankful or anything it's just it feels like its just saying it for the sake of saying it, there's no real meaning behind it. I generally leave dumb puns instead but there's only so many 'your cause is just' comments you can make!
That being said, when I do win, I make sure to go above the 'thank you' message as well, something several people of my winners haven't done, or even said 'thank you' at all for that matter.

same, I thank the creator when I win. By email or through Steam chat.
I've always thought it was weird to say thank you to "maybe win" a game.
Anyway, I do say thank you sometimes when I feel like it. (yeahyeah i'm a douche)

Hi!
I usually make giveaways with some simple instructions: for example my latest giveaway: "Gimme a vowel, two words, a number between 1-10 and choose between heads or tails instead of saying thanks"
That's great isn't it? except a lot of people don't care about it D:, I mean it's not a problem if they enter without comment just don't say thanks, easy right?
So I just check some of THOSE people's comment's amount and they are around 2000-7000.
Why does SG shows how many comments you made? It just makes people spam because some giveaways/groups have entry/comment ratio!
Or just make that it only counts forum comments and not giveaway ones.
Also if you reply please "Gimme a vowel, two words, a number between 1-10 and choose between heads or tails instead of saying thanks" 'cause they don't do it in my precious giveaways D:

[Long ago (like a month) a guy from steamgifts added me on steam and asked if I want to join to Playbink with his referral link, and if I do I will get Sleeping Dogs from him, I registered, he left and blocked me.
So I wrote to support with the evidence chatlog and after 2 weeks they said "Thanks for the report" and that's all, no ban or anything] --- little story, don't want to delete it, just be aware if someone sends you friend request
