So there is no gifting feature on Origin? TF?!

Guys, I know this has been asked many times, but since there is no topic search on the forums and Steamgifts 2.0 seems to not be released until 2038, can someone give me a definitive answer how to gift a game to a friend on Origin?

I wanted to play the Dead Space 3 DLC with a friend, it is 50% off, so hey, why not just buy it now? My friend is on vacation and she's got no chance to go online for a few days, so I wanted to buy it for her. How?

Yes. No gift options. You can still buy a key from a reseller.

No gifting feature last I heard. You can give away a key to someone, but there's no guarantee it'll work.

Just buy the key from a reseller. It'll probably be cheaper,too. Edit: Sorry, didn't see the DLC bit.
