Gem duping. Gem packs (1000) were being sold for 3 cents and you could craft booster packs with 500-1200, so you could craft booster packs for 1.5/3 cents, sell the cards, buy more gems, etc. Oh and the auction event is closed (there were billions of duped gems in circulation, so the auctions were going by thousands or millions of gems each).
edit: most of the people who duped gems are brazilians

Dang, that is quite a mess (and thanks for the clarification)
Seems like there will be community voting later once winter sale goes live so i'll just craft one badge from voting and that will be it. This whole gem scheme doesn't look interesting to me much.
(on a sidenote, im seriously impressed how Valve can milk people so much for nothing and how they don't mind. This is amazing)

And how is the fact that you are a brazilian allows you to disgrace the whole nation? Is that a try to look better in comparison? Or confession of your involvement? Either way I never think it's right to judge a nation by actions of individuals and being same nationality does not give you an excuse to do so, but rather indicates you as a poor citizen of your country.
So no, I won't change my mind about brazilians but I definitely think less of you.

Sorry, I usually browsing in multiple tabs, so sometimes my reply can be made much later than the time I opened thread, so I was commenting not yet edited version. I didn't see it as a joke and I very much dislike that kind of behavior, so I reacted so abruptly and I apologize for that now.
As about children users - I think that more adult users just don't use FB and groups that much, so they are not as noticeable.

Not a problem bro. That's ture the majority of the noticeable brazilian users are children, that's why you need to take care, there's some good users from Brazil, for sure, but it's easier to find a children trying to scam than the good ones, unfortunately.

Every single time I see a 'hue' I cringe so hard, it's not even funny. I have to constantly keep explaining to new acquaintances what it means, why it shouldn't be used in any circumstance and how it annoys me to no end.
Complete lack of self-respect or awareness. I find it funny how the use of 'hue' started as a joke, but now it's an unironic reality.
It's really hard to say you're a brazilian when it keeps coming up in every new conversation.

If that was a joke it was in bad taste.Next time don't post something that people will see as everything but a joke.

...never trust brazilians, they are the cancer from internet and ruins everything... Most of the users that were exploiting the whole thing and were tracked down are brazilians. Thx compatriotas.
EDIT: So as most people couln't recognize the purpose of the post:
It's just a joke and a rant. It's not to be taken too seriously, but aside from it I think traders should be more careful about brazilians in general. Most of brazilian steam users are children (I can't confirm it, but that's what i can see in the groups I used to be in FB) so they doesn't seem to imagine what is the matter of doing exploits or scams.
