You need to subscribe to their newsletter also, not just to link with steam and if you haven't subscribed when creating the account, you can do it afterwards from settings, but it will take a while for the keys to appear in My rewards.

I didn't subscribe when I signed up and now when I try to enable it in settings it keeps saying Your Settings Could Not Be Saved. I can enable the other options but not the subscribe one.

Yes, that is what I am saying, if the Subscribe to newsletter box is checked at signup, then you receive the keys instantly, if it isn't you should be able to do it afterwards from settings, but it will take a few hours until the keys appear.

You should learn to appreciate it. You can always block those games from ever showing by clicking that Eye button and points generate a lot faster due to the amount of giveaways.

The filter system always works and to be honest, if you had synced your account after activating them you wouldn't even have to filter them as they get filtered automatically.

Listen, firstly I've been here plenty long enough to know how the syncing and filtering system works, whilst I'm happy it always works for you, it plainly doesn't work for all games and DLC. Also sometimes clicking on that eye doesn't work, and other times it does, no idea why this happens, but it's not a huge problem really work complaining about. I'm not sure why you think I'm lying about that.

Not sure where you get this idea, but it's not true. Just do a search. There are many people exploiting this and gaining level just fine. There are even a few on my blacklist who made it to level 3/4 almost entirely from GMG freebies.
I'll never understand the admin's decision to designate GMG freebies as "bundle" instead of banning them like other mass giveaways. Games that have been given away at lesser quantities have been banned, but no, not GMG freebies.

I ask this because 'Rooms' is not a bundle game, and if you create 5 fake steam accounts to get 5 copies you can obtain $50 for the CV for free. And if you have enough free time you can create even more GAs of the game, although it decreases its value from the sixth copy it is still free CV...
GMG is a partner of SG, maybe that explains a lot of things. But CV is meaningless if you can do things like this to cheat on this site.

That's messed up. I have a lot (2000 +) bundle keys to give away and wanted to start funneling them into SG more regularly. Level 3 and 4 was where I set the the first batch of 40 a couple of weeks back and a few more the other day. I don't want to give games to people that got to those levels by being arseholes. Might have to re-think where to set the bar if SG don't do anything. It's no big deal if it's just me, and they're only bundle games, but if others follow suit it will be a shame for those who got to levels 3/4 legitimately.

There are a lot more legitimate gifters than those CV farmers. It's better you blacklist the few offenders rather than exclude the majority. After all, for as long as nothing is done about those CV farmers, their levels will just keep going higher and higher anyway, and you can't possibly keep raising the bar.

It's very true toi say that blacklisting is more effective, but that requires work at my end and I'm extremely lazy. I'd be doing it all day if I wanted to be as thorough as possible. I'm not definitely going to up the level requiremtns in future, in fact I think I won't but it did give me that thought.
You get similar situations in lots of things in life, mostly on a political or governmental level and I'm certainly not one of those! The sort of situations where things can or are being abused and there's talk of that thing being banned, restricted or enacting new legislation to control the flow of something. Sometimes people will say "Why should the majority have to suffer or jump through hoops because the actions of a few people?". I usually support that kind of viewpoint too so if I did up the requirements I'd feel bad about it.
I just wish SG would sort it out and do something.

There are plenty of level 1/2/3/4 users who got there almost entirely from giving away free games from previous GMG welcome packs. It's been going on for months now.
I'd name names, but it's against rules.

So the rationale is just because there aren't too many people exploiting the GMG giveaways, it's ok to let those few exploit.

I'm thinking about doing a real exploit, I mean: I have time to create a massive giveaway (50 or more keys). Would I be banned for doing this?
It could be a way of catching the attention from the admins/mods but I don't want to put my SG account into risk.
You don't even need real emails, you can use mailinator or other services to create tens of fake emails in a few clicks that work good with playfire. It is more difficult to obtain a key for Soul Gambler and it was removed from the "create giveaway" form minutes after it was free on Splitplay.

You don't even need to employ those disposable email services actually. Neither Playfire nor Steam require email verification for new accounts, so even gibberish email-like strings would work.
But, mate, don't play with fire. Not worth risking your own account just to demonstrate the faults of others.
