Be more active in the forums. I gave away my 3 RO2 guest passes to people who made me laugh and one of my extra copies of The Ship to someone just because they said that they really wanted it. You've been a member 9 months and have only 26 comments? Try thanking giveaway creators and/or posting more in the forum.

Secondly, until 3 days ago, after 5 months on the site, I'd only won Faerie Solitaire too. Since then I've won 3 contributor giveaways. You increase your odds by entering giveaways with fewer entries: contributor giveaways, puzzle private/giveaways.

Thirdly, the worst thing you can do is whinge on the forums about not winning anything when there are people with 1000/2000+ entries and 0 wins, especially folks who've given lots away.

Fourthly, you got Faerie Solitaire for free, you could be more grateful...

In SteamGifts HQ, a monkey bashes on a computer's numpad to determine the winner of each giveaway. Depending on the day of the week, Fred (the monkey) gets palm-aches, so he occasionally decides to bash with the side of his palm, thus hitting only a column of keys on the numpad.

If you happen to know the SteamGifts custodian (who also gives bananas and water to Fred), he'll send you a message when Fred gets tired. He'll also specify which side of the numpad he's bashing on and for which giveaway.
