Wwwwhhhhheeeeeeeeee another commemorative day that I'm passionate about is finally here!
May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia! As a gay young man myself I can say we've certainly come a long way from the time people didn't even dare admit such a thing publicly but we've also still got a long way to go till LGBT+ sexually oriented people are considered truly equals. Unfortunately where I live(Greece) same sex marriage, let alone adoption, are not yet legal like in some other countries or states but there's hope! Anyway I don't wanna bore you. I tried to look for an appropriately themed game for today and realised there's a real lack of games, even more on steam, that either deal with this topic or feature important characters of queer orientation. So I picked something where you can choose your own sexuality and isn't heavy on stereotypes.

Here you go
faboitas is offering everyone his booty for this day and only! Get it while it's hot!
Fnord very generously added with his contribution to the cause!
Student banged that booty and left his essence behind!
Another generous contribution by Yeliena <3
Some LEGO Love from cjcomplex cause blocky people deserve a chance at love too!
Hurray for all these generous contributions like Reginleifx's!
MilleW is ready to share her Love with you all!
And just when you think we're done perrolijo brings a plot twist!!!
coezo bares his feelings for all of you even after the party has ended :P

And some freebies I stumbled upon in my search:
Try this one for a good laugh. It's just ridiculous xD
On a more serious note I also happened upon this which seems interesting enough. I'll probably give it a spin myself in the next hours ;)
And lastly but not least who's bumped for Masquerada? :P
And yet another project I wasn't aware about brought along by cjcomplex

Edit: Thank you to all the generous gifters that have added their 2 cents to this thread! I really appreciate it! and lemme state how happy the responses so far have made me. This is commander Shepard and this is my favourite community on the Citadel!

Never heard "Bipohobia", what a bullshit. Once people stop beeing special snowflakes they get treated normal, it's as easy as that, nobody cares what sexual orientation you have.

Say that to people in Iran that get arrested simply for being lgbt.

Or people all over the world that get beaten up simply for being gay. Do they flaunt about themselves? No. Do they try to make everybody gay? No. They simply exist. And they get beaten up.

So yeah, get out of your bubble because it does not relate to the real world.

I don't have any problems because nobody has to know my sexuality because its private. All these people want to be is beeing special snowflakes.

No? People don't want to be special snowflakes, they want to go out, meet with people and be able to just say "nah bro I don't fancy ask her out. I'm gay" without fear of being called out (even beat up by some people) and don't have to always come up with lies to hide themselves from homophobes.

Not really.
You ever played smear the queer as a kid?
At one point word gay had nothing to do with sexuality as well.

Queer literally means out of the ordinary. When it comes to the more recent meaning of non heterosexual orientation it mostly depends on the usage. Like the word "gay" it can be used both normally and as a derogatory term.

That game Masquerada looks like Transistor, but looks interesting, not like a ripoff.

Transistor must have been a great inspiration to them regarding the gameplay but artwise I'd say they're much closer to Banner Saga. Either way it looks amazing and can't wait to get my hands on it :D

I'm surprised you didn't think of this. In your defense, it is a bad game, though.

Have a bump, KonOkami! It deeply saddens me there are still people in the world that discriminate in this way. I'm hoping Ssame Sex Marriage becomes legal in the near future! In all countries!

Though IMHO marriage equality isn't the holy grail, seeing as one can get fired for being gay or trans in way too many countries and/or states. Also disrimination in housing and services in addition to that has big consequences in day-to-day live.... to some those are more presseing points than the right to marry. But I do hope to see marriage equality everywhere in time.

People should do whatever they want to, unless it violates someone else's freedom and/or rights. Whether you are straight or gay, it doesn't involve anyone else but you and your partner, so it is your right to choose what you want to choose. Personally I am not against mariage between gay ppl, basicly for the same reason (meaning... it does not concern anyone else but you, so why would anyone else have a say in the matter?). As for adoption, that is a shady place, not only for gay but for straight ppl too. There has to be good parental selection.

If you don't mind asking you (since I don't know any gay ppl myself) a curiocity of mine. Let's say you get married and adopt a kid (no matter of sex, you, your partner or the kid). What would be your reaction if your (adopted) child became... straight. Since you are Greek you probably saw the movie Straight Story. What is your opinion in that?

You deserve the right to choose who to love (unless he/she is not underage ofc). So, don't let anyone dictate it to you, whether it is sex, color, ethnicity or race. In the end we are all humans.

In fact I've never watched that movie. I know of the plot but I don't really like Greek comedies. I find their humor... juvenile.
As for your question it wouldn't matter one bit. As long as it is happy with who he/she is with then I'm happy for it too. But that doesn't mean the same applies to everyone. I actually have a couple examples in my head that would even be disappointed...

Greek movies are not much but this one is one of the few that deserves my applause. It is funny, it has good lines and a great message. I advise you to see it. It is not like most, not dirty stupid jokes etc. It is one of the top Greek (new age) movies in my list.
