Message from a friend for SteamGifts moderation

Message from a friend who was banned from the site, if any moderator could do something:

"Good evening,
My name is full real name removed and I come through this message trying to explain my mistake. I was banned because I created an Action Collection's giveaway, but in truth I thought that were the first menu to choose the game genre, ACTION, and then, I should go to a second menu to choose the action game that I would create a giveaway, I have some games in my account, I wouldn't make use of this artifice to get along, I would like very much to come back to SteamGifts, I really like the community, see that my intention were to donate a game, make a giveaway, I have the game key in hands, in case of you need this as a proof, I can give you."

Giving out the full name of a user and this sort of request is best left given to a mod in private. I also have no idea who you're talking about.

Perhaps if you were to give the Username that was banned from Steamgifts instead of his or her real name?

Thats a terrible excuse. You couldn't look through the list and think it was by Genre. There are too many games with unique names in that list for anyone to think it is limited to Genre.

Plus, there is the confirmation page that makes sure you know that you are giving away a game.

Agree, horrible excuse. He clearly didn't care enough to read the rules or figure out what this site was about. To bad, clearly not a loss for us.

One glance at the list and the sheer number and variety of names listed would clearly reveal to anyone it's not by genre. The first thing listed is "0-4-0ST Saddle Tank Locomotive Pack Railworks Add-on". We're supposed to believe someone looked at this and genuinely thought this was a game genre and they should scroll down further and look for Action?

I'll give them credit for a unique excuse... but definitely not the most plausible one.

Protip for both of you. Read the FAQ. Email the mods. The forums are used too often as a place to whine about something rather than discus deals or helping the community.

Just try to create a giveaway. What will you see? The dropdown list without genres but with games/dlc/packs list. First places in the list begin their names with numbers (like 1C Collection or 4 Elements or 7 Wonders). They are obviously not genres, just games or packs. It's impossible to make a mistake there, imho. Not to mention you posted his message which was written in English. Thus he knows the language. And there is a "number of copies" section. So a mistake is impossible there, imho.
