Another example of "If Company X does it or something happens to them, they suck. but if valve does it or it happens to them, it shows how much of a genius they are"

I only have a couple games since I much prefer Steam, but thanks for the info. I reset my password, so hopefully everything's good.

Do you have to use the Origin client to reset your pw? I'm at work on my mobile and don't see it on the website.

My "your password has been successfully changed" email came about a week ago which was a surprise since I hadn't used the account in months. Luckily the hacker was too ignorant to change the email and I was able to quickly remedy the situation but the support was awful. I contacted them AFTER I recovered my own account to let them know there was a problem since my PW was fairly complicated and I hadn't fallen prey to any phishing scams. He proceeded to tell me: "Some one can only hack your account if you log in to any phishing website or link. Otherwise hacking these stuff is not so easy."

I explained how I hadn't and that the user still managed to change my pw and username without needing email confirmation and he says THIS: "I am afraid, correct me if I am wrong. But I can not see such an activity here in the database."

I'm not sure what he's afraid of, but I don't think people make up stories about being hacked for kicks. Most irritating and useless support I've ever had the misfortune of interacting with.

Just changed my Origin password to something stronger. Only have Sims 3, Spore and barely any virtual currency at all to my EA account anyway, so what would some Russian hackers want from me? :p
