I'm wondering what country do you live? Seems like there everyone drives like a drunk crazy person, without following any rule. The worst part (has happened here) is the driver causes a huge accident, even with deaths, but he gets out of his car unijured.

Your life sounds like a potential script for a short film about a guy that magnetizes vehicles. Every so often, with no correlation whatsoever to him eating his favorite doner kebab at Saleem's, where Saleem himself treats him to extra meat and a gratis coke, then if he gets into a taxi kebab in hand he black-holes a 09' Mazda 3 right in the kisser. Well, sad to hear that, but I'll tell you something. My mom had car accident about 17/18 years ago and she had broken spine too. The doctors said that she'll need an operation, but it would mean wheelchair for her, so she didn't agree. Today, many years later, you wouldn't say she had broken spine, I can say more, she looks and feel better than most of the people her age. She even ski (well, sometimes, because she doesn't like it at all :P). But she broke her spine - her spine nerve wasn't damaged.
My point is that, that broken spine is not end of the world. It could end up way worse - I knew people who had car accidents and they died in them. You live, and that's the most important thing.
