I loved the first Descent movie, was the only good horror movie I've seen recently.

How are they bad? Your comments are worthless unless you give a reason.

It was just so dull! Movies need that ability to hold an audiences attention, especially those in the horror genre where the good ones stop me blinking for a few hours. Paranormal Activity did not hold my attention. I've seen 1 and 3 in full and a couple clips from 2 and just found myself bored and getting agitated waiting for something to happen. I'm not speaking as a sheep following the crowd because I was genuinely looking forward to the first one and this just made my disappointment worse. They are terribly predictable too, bad acting, bad scripting, and the only excitement is for 5 minutes before the credits. I love the idea of the film and the director shows that he is able to produce a good film with Insidious but I don't think much effort was put into the Paranormal Activity films.

Strange, I feel quite different. I was caught in the movie and got really scared.

Noroi and Lake Mungo. If you want to get scared at all, that is.

Noroi is absolutely terrifying. And you are hearing that from a horror movie fan.
Lake Mungo is pretty good as well.

Still the scariest movie ever made, IMHO. A classic.

The Human Centipede...2.
I don't know if they count as horror movies, but Battle Royale and Versus are both good as well.

Sorry slowly updating the list as I think of more (:
I'm actually a Film student so I've seen more horror films than I can count, ranging from the popular household titles such as Halloween too grim, independent exploitation films.
