Come on. You can't say the lumia 900 is huge. It probably doesnt fit the hand very good because of it's shape but 4.3 is tiny. I have small hands and I think that 5+ inch is too big for my hand but I am still gonna buy me an LG G2(5.2 inch) because 1. It's just as big as a 5 inch screen phone (tiny bezels) and 2. The 1080p screen, the 2.3 quad core and the 3000 mah batery are awesome.

My phone is dead, so I probably need to get a new one. For now I'm back to my old HTC Desire.
I absolutely loved that phone a couple of years ago, and I'm very happy with it now. I might go and root it so I can use a new ROM and fancy stuff like that, but I'm thinking I'll probably need a new phone...
So which phone do I buy? I want it to be like the Desire :)
I've had a Nokia Lumia 900 with Windows Phone 7.8 for about a year and a half now, and I never liked it much. Picking the Desire up after this long was like coming home. The Nokia is too big and clumsy, while the Desire fits my hand perfectly!
So, yeah, find me a phone that feels like the Desire but is up to speed :)
edit
HTC Desire (119 x 60 x 11.9 mm, 135 g)
Nokia Lumia 900 (127.8 mm, 68.5 mm, 11.5 mm, 160 g)
HTC One (M8) (146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm, 160 g)
HTC One (137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm, 143 g)
Google Nexus 5 (137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59 mm, 130 g)
Samsung GALAXY S4 (136,6 x 69,8 x 7,9, 130 g)
Motorola Moto G (129.90 x 65.90 x 11.60)
OnePlus One (152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9, 162 g)
Can't believe the Nokia Lumia 900 is now considered a small phone. Almost all the phones you're suggesting are even bigger than this clumsy brick!
When I first got the Desire in my hands I thought "Damn, this is huge!", but I quickly got used to it. I thought the same about the Nokia, but never got used to it... So I'm more hesitant to go bigger now :)
