It seems it is based on playstation wheels. I'm not sure if all of the recent racing games on pc supports that natively. I would suggest some Thrustmaster wheel, for example universal challenge(based on Xbox360 controller scheme), or something like that. With universal challenge you can play Grid, Dirt series, NFS Shift&Shift 2(with Shift2 it has some problems for some people), Driver San Francisco for example.

"Product manufactured under official Ferrari® license. The name with worldwide notoriety! (exclusive on all platforms!)"
I'm not a native speaker, but isn't it a slightly strange choice of words?

Do you mean the line you picked? Yep, it is a bit strange :D. I don't even know what does "exclusive on all platforms" supposed to mean.

Pretty sure it means you can't get the wheel (legitimately) without the Ferrari badge. It's made exclusively by Thrustmaster in partnership with Ferrari and Thrustmaster don't make it without the badge (I guess)

Oh, you might be right. Thanks for the explanation!

Problem with this Thrustmaster one is - can't find it in any good internet store I find. And I definitely know that there won't be one in local computer shop.
I mean - it is in some stores but most of them are rated by people with 1 or 2 stars. I really don't wanna buy anything from those stores. Most of my stuff I buy at a cheap store that has good policies and warranty stuff and it's rated 5 stars out of 5. And I mean - it's really cheap and best quality and people who work there is very kind too.

Then post a list of wheels you can buy there and I will try to help you choose one of them.

Maybe the one you picked. I can't really recommend it, I don't have any experience with it, but from that list that seems the best. Are there any other online shops in your country? If I were you, I would order something from another place.

Sounds bad. Go for that acme than. If it not working with some games, look for software like xpadder of pinnacle game profiler. They will do the trick.

Well, I'll take a look at the local computer shop and see what's there. Maybe won't buy anything right now maybe will buy that acme. Or look at some used steering wheels. There was Logitech Driving Force GT for half the price once but didn't have the money that time.

I have one of these. It's not the best out there, works for NFS Shift 2 (which is what I bought it for as it is unplayable with a keyboard).
Says PS3, but there is a switch on it for PS3 / PC conversion, comes with a desk clamp so it doesn't move (mine wobbles a bit if I spin it round quickly but that might be more to do with desk shape - can't get a good clamp position on it).
It does however have a very small wheel size for someone used to driving a car and a very small amount of travel round before hitting an end stop with a pretty loud clunk if you spin it over fast - but just tweak the in-game sensitivity and it works fine - can set it so that most corners on race tracks can be taken with a small-ish amount of movement and then only need about half the travel to get a full 180 turn.
EDIT: forgot to mention, it works fine on Win 7 as well.

I can tell you something
I bought my racing wheel 3 weeks ago. First of all: It is a Logitech Driving Force GT
But listen: I wanted to give out 50 in the beginning, too, for a thrustmaster ferrari thing. i bought it, tried it and it was garbage. why? because i tried out the logitech driving force gt at my friend before. And these 50$ things are very very very bad because:
Just 180°, that's what you need for an open wheel car in GRID (yes, it is my fav racing game), for a touringcar or similar you need 540° and for drifting 360°. You cannot drive a touring car with 180, it is impossible
no force feedback...just vibration. there is no feeling. with force feedback you feel everything you do and every place you drive on...
no shifter. If you wanna cruise in games like Test Drive Unlimited 2 (fav cruising game) you need it. Without you cannot cruise
It is no Logitech. And Logitech gives you an awesome guarantee (my brother bought a mouse 4 years ago, it broke a little bit and he got a new one immediately) and very good quality. Also Logitechs and other expensive Racing wheels are supported by games much longer. the Driving Force PRO and g25 are still supported by any games though they are 9 years old now. a 50 $ wheel isn't. We have one laying around here...
They have small sizes. Logitech have realistic sizes
You will play much more Racing games and have much more fun with all of these things. I am playing racing games only for 3 weeks now though i did not really like them before.
So...You are better in buying a Logitech.Really. You are exactly how i was a month ago and let your future self lets you knwo : buy a Logitech. In their VIP store it just costs 100 so here you go :)
PS: Racing Games: GRID, TDU 2, Euro Truck Simulator, DiRT 2, NFS HP(new), Shift 2

Well, for me Driving Force GT costs around 140$-150$. I really can't afford to buy it with money I get from my school.
I took Thrustmaster Nascar wheel from my friend few months ago and played a bit. It's about 10 years old now but it was still supported by games I tried (GRID, Dirt 3, NFS:MW 2012) so I don't think they get unsupported that much. I know Logitech has best ones but they are pretty expensive for me to buy.

i am a pupil, too :P
But google logitech VIP store, here in germany it costs 100€ in vip. And again: It is really worth it... I know your thinkings :P

Yeah but it's in Germany. I know that in Germany and Poland these things are cheaper but for me it would be more expensive because of the shipping. Plus I can't use Logitech VIP store because I haven't bought anything from Logitech in their internet shop.

well then that is...not good :D
but really. Don't buy such a 50 $ thing...it is just bad. you could use a controller for the same effect

Hi, SG users!
So I have decided that I need to buy steering wheel for my PC. But I know that I can't afford to buy fancy Logitech ones which are best. So I want to know if someone has used this. I know it's acme and very cheap (around 45$) but I just want wheel that I can play games like GRID and maybe Dirt series with. Of course, some NFS games too but mostly GRID. I would like to hear if someone has used it and how does it feel when playing.
And maybe there are some other suggestions that are in the same price range (max would be around 60$).
