They ruined RPG series with a weird adventure-like spinoff? Doubt it. Just like saying that Paper Mario is bad, since it's a RPG spinoff to a platformer. It's just a kinect adventure named Fable only because it's: 1) Microsoft exclusive, 2) Fable is a successful series already, 3) Despite all of the horse racing it's still a game in a Fable universe with it's unique charm. Why are people so mad about it? There are planty examples like that in the past.

"Why can't I play Uncharted on my PC?! The fact that you have to have a PS3 to play it is stupid!"
They need exclusives to help people to buy it. And it's not a railshooter. That was blown out of the water the next day after Journeys was announced.

This. It's by far not perfected, and is somewhat expensive. You need incredible amounts of space for it, and there's a delay.

Video showed horse riding, rail shooting and magic system. They are all kinda neat and supposed to make you feel as a character, hence the first person view and motion controls. And you're still missing the point spinoffs are supposed to be a HUGE leap from the main series. And really, you don't HAVE to play this game. That's why I just skip Mario Kart games. And really, you just say that any kinect exclusive is stupid right there.

^This. This is not a main entry in the series, but rather a spinoff which happens to provide you with some extra story. If you play Super Smash Bros., do you complain that it's so different from a Pokemon or Mario game? It's a completely different game that happens to use the same characters and the same world.

First of all, this is really old news. Second, this isn't the next "big" Fable game, but more of a side project. Besides, anyone who keeps track of the gaming world should have seen this coming since Lionhead was one of the biggest supporters of Kinect (with them making the most successful demo of the system's capabilities).

Game died long ago, when Fable 1 was released and it didn't live up to all the features Peter Molyneux said would ship with it. Then after he realised he could just lie about the content of Fable games, he did it successfully for 2 more games.

I've actually been thinking that Black & White could make a good Kinect game. After all, you played the game as a disembodied hand who cast spells by waving magical gestures. It seems like it should be the perfect fit.

Okay, that should really be a definite. -_- I own it for Xbox, but what the hell, Lionhead? Y U NO PC?

Lets build a time machine and convince them to make it!

It's not dead yet. It's just on the ground, having terrible seizures while guzzing out saliva.

Only the first one was actually fun...so this is not at all surprising....

The 3rd one wasnt playable? I was thinking of picking it up for $5 on steam eventually...

People's problem is that they view it as a "bad" Fable game, but if you just rate it as an action RPG then it's a pretty good game.

RIP Spyro. I'm speechless with what they have done to him in Skylanders.

Yeah, each time I play it I find a new way to make myself even more overpowered. My favorite strategy was to start firing lightning and rapidly switch targets (this is in the first one when it was channeled), thus producing huge combos/magic experience.

From IGN: Chances are high we'll get more details on this version of Fable as E3 2011 rolls on. This follows Fable III, released last year on Xbox 360 and earlier in 2011 on PC, and it's interesting that it isn't called Fable IV.
